En el programa nacional de cruzamiento de Cuba se utiliza un cruce materno con animales de dos orígenes diferentes, recomendados por sus características reproductivas y productivas: el F1 de Landrace x Yorkshire) y el F1 de Landrace x Large White (Camborough 9).
