Using analytical method, it was found that Astreaus hygrometricus (Pers) Morg. contained 84.73 percent moisture, 1.18 percent ash, 4.09 percent protein, 0.31 percent fat, in terms of reducing sugar 8.10 percent carbohydrate which derived from 7.56 percent polysaccharide, 1.26 percent fibre, 8.9 mg sodium, 200 mg potassium and 40 mg calcium.
