During the historical period of selection scientists of Agricultural Research Institute of the North-East and Falenskaya breeding station have created more than 160 varieties of different crops. 78 of them are cultivated at present. Among them there are up-to-date varieties, adaptive to conditions of northern agriculture – winter rye Falenskaja 4, filmy oats Krechet, oats without seed coat Vjatskijj and Persheron, soft summer wheat Bazhenka with valuable grain quality; barley Ecolog, resistant to loose smut and barley Novichok, resistant to soil acidity; plastic Rodnik Prikam'ja, tech- nological peas variety Falenskijj usatyjj. 10 competitive varieties pass the State Strain Testing for im- port substitution: winter rye Grafinja, lodging resistant with stable yield 4,71-6,44 t/ha; summer soft wheat Vjatchanka with high quality of grain (glassiness of 62 %, nature 770 g/l, 1000 seeds weight - 35,0 g, gluten of 26 %); varieties of summer barley Forward and Bionik, resistant against soil acidity and drought, drought-resistant varieties of filmy oats Medved, Sapsan and Avatar and others. Oats Sapsan forms grain of high quality (nature 593 g/l, 1000 seeds weight 38,5 g, filminess 24,2 %, protein 13,62 %, starch 40,73 %) and dry matter (protein 91,91 g/kg, fat 17,70 g/kg). Oats Medved provided grain yield from 5,0 to 7,24 t/ha and 1000 seeds weight 40,6-45,6 g on the state strain testing stations of Kirovskaja, Nizhegorodskaja, Sverdlovskaja regions, Permskij territory, other administrative terri- tories. From 2015 year the variety of field pea Krasivyjj, with high protein content in grain (19-22 %) and high content of dry matter (17,5 %) is admitted in production.
