البرتغالية. The purpose of this work was to evaluate the microbiological quality of meat and bone meal (MBM) from a processing plant local. Were collected 20 samples and examined for the presence of total and thermotolerants coliforms, Escherichia coli and Salmonella sp. It was found that the samples showed a low incidence of coliforms thermotolerants and E. coli, but the incidence of total coliforms was higher than 3 NMP/g in 50%, suggesting contamination after processing. We did not detect the presence of Salmonella spp, Were samples within the limits established by legislation.Â
