إنجليزي. Available HPLC derivatization techniques for detection of okadaic acid levels in mollusc hepatopancreas were investigated. Percentages of recovery with the different methods in standards, toxic samples and samples with internal standard were compared. Results show that the tissutal extracts play a "disguising" role in comparison with the pure standards, and in the same way is shown the actual low sensitivity of these methods, often insufficient for the routine monitoring of edible molluscs

Lo studio prende in esame le metodiche di derivatizzazione per HPLC attualmente disponibili per la rilevazione dell'acido okadaico nell'epatopancreas di molluschi eduli lamellibranchi. Sono state messe a confronto le percentuali di rilevazione in standard, in campioni tossici ed in campioni con standard interno. Dai risultati emerge il ruolo "mascherante" degli estratti tissutali rispetto agli standard puri e la tuttora bassa sensibilita' di questi metodi, spesso insufficiente per il controllo di routine dei molluschi destinati all'alimentazione
