إنجليزي. The Authors describe the morphology of fibro-elastic nodules observed on the aortic valves in the horse. On 1,427 horses examined only in 16-18% of 649 animals above 5 years of age such a nodules were present. The Authors interpret the histopathogenesis of the lesions as a consequence of traumatic frictions due to normal and abnormal blood flow on a tissue damaged by age and make some considerations of compared pathology

Gli Autori ne interpretano la istopatogenesi quale conseguenza delle frizioni traumatiche delle correnti ematiche, sia normali che anomale, su un tessuto usurato per senescenza, e traggono alcune considerazioni di patologia comparata
