英语. The Authors describe the morphology of fibro-elastic nodules observed on the aortic valves in the horse. On 1,427 horses examined only in 16-18% of 649 animals above 5 years of age such a nodules were present. The Authors interpret the histopathogenesis of the lesions as a consequence of traumatic frictions due to normal and abnormal blood flow on a tissue damaged by age and make some considerations of compared pathology

Su 1,427 cavalli controllati, soltanto nel 16,18% di 649 animali di eta' superiore ai 5 anni erano presenti tali noduli. Gli Autori ne interpretano la istopatogenesi quale conseguenza delle frizioni traumatiche delle correnti ematiche, sia normali che anomale, su un tessuto usurato per senescenza, e traggono alcune considerazioni di patologia comparata
