إنجليزي. This work reports an outbreak of Angustalius malacellus (Dup.) in a corn field in the Veneto region. This species is rarely harmful to cultivated plants in Europe. The main features of the outbreak and larval behaviour are described in order to distinguish the symptoms caused by A. malacellus feeding activity on corn plants from those caused by other common corn seedlings pests (wireworms and black cutworms)
