إنجليزي. The effect of starvation and successive refeeding on the weight of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) has been investigated at different time intervals. The fish deprived of feed for 3 weeks, then fed to satiation during the successive 6 weeks of the experiment, resulted as having the same body weight as the fish in the control group, that were fed to satiation for the same 9 week period, indicating a compensatory response. No differences were observed either in the protein and total lipid content, or in the fatty acid composition, between the starvation and the control fish fillets

[E' stato studiato l'effetto della privazione di alimento e della successiva alimentazione sul peso della trota iridea (Oncorhynchus mykiss) a intervalli diversi di tempo. Il pesce privato dell'alimento per 3 settimane, poi alimentato fino a sazieta' nel corso delle 6 settimane successive, risultava avere il medesimo peso corporeo del pesce del gruppo di controllo, che veniva alimentato a sazieta' per il medesimo periodo di 9 settimane, indicando una risposta di carattere compensativo. Non sono state osservate differenze ne' nel contenuto proteico e di lipidi totali, ne' nella composizione in acidi grassi, fra i filetti derivanti dal gruppo sottoposto a digiuno e da quelli del gruppo di controllo]
