Micco, C. | Brera, C. | Miraglia, M. | Onori, R.
A high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method is reported for the determination of total (bound and free) aflatoxin levels in naturally-contaminated eggs. Recoveries after 2-7 days of treatment of eggs with various aflatoxins are reported. The HPLC method allows for separate simultaneous determinations of aflatoxins B1, M1, and B2a, and of aflatoxicol. The levels of hydroxylated metabolites of aflatoxins also are reported.
