IMPACT OF MORINGA OLEIFERA FORAGE MEAL ON MORPHOMETRIC AND HISTOLOGICAL INDICATORS OF DIGESTIVE ORGANS, ACCESSORIES, LYMPHOIDS AND KIDNEYS OF FATTENING PIGS | IMPACTO DE LA HARINA DE FORRAJE DE MORINGA OLEFERA EN INDICADORES MORFOMTRICOS E HISTOLGICOS DE RGANOS DIGESTIVOS, ACCESORIOS, LINFOIDES Y RIONES DE CERDOS EN CEBA

Se utilizaron 16 cerdos machos castrados de la raza CC21 procedentes de un experimento de comportamiento productivo en el que los animales se haban alojado en jaulas individuales, distribuidos en cuatro tratamientos. Se utilizaron 4 animales por tratamiento con el objetivo de determinar el efecto de la harina de forraje de Moringa olefera (hojas + tallos) en los indicadores morfomtricos y la histologa de los rganos digestivos, accesorios, linfoides y riones de cerdos en ceba. Los tratamientos consistieron en: I (control) basado en harina de Maz y Soya. Para los tratamientos II, III y IV se estableci el 7, 14 y 21 % de inclusin de la harina de forraje de Moringa respectivamente. Para el anlisis de los indicadores morfomtricos se extrajeron los rganos digestivos (estmago, intestino delgado, intestino grueso), accesorios (pncreas e hgado), linfoides (bazo y timo) y riones. Se determinaron los pesos relativos (g/g PV x 100) de los rganos digestivos (llenos y vacos), de los rganos accesorios del tracto gastrointestinal, rganos linfoides y riones. Tambin se realiz un anlisis histolgico de todos los rganos estudiados Los pesos relativos del estmago e intestino grueso lleno fueron similares entre tratamientos, en tanto el peso de los rganos digestivos vacos difirieron (P 0.0018) 0.73, 0.92; (P0.0357) 1.82, 2.19 y (P0.0755) 1.59, 2.30 para el control y el tratamiento del 21 % respectivamente. No hubo efecto de tratamiento en el peso relativo de los rganos accesorios, linfoides, ni riones. No se hallaron daos histolgicos en los rganos estudiados asociados a la inclusin de Moringa en la dieta. Los resultados sugieren la posibilidad de sustituir hasta el 14 % del alimento concentrado convencional por harina de Moringa olefera en la dieta de cerdos en ceba
