Se emplea el índice de sinantropismo apoyado por un instrumento que tiene en cuenta la presencia de estratos y especies originales de la vegetación, el grado de modificación y otras matrices que posibilitaron determinar que esta área protegida es un ecosistema medianamente conservado, el cual evoluciona hacia una recuperación paulatina y tiene altas potencialidades para la conservación y como atractivo natural para el turismo de naturaleza. Con este resultado se han podido identificar y ubicar las principales acciones degradativas del área, lo que ha posibilitado trazar acciones de conservación y manejo adecuado.
