Serums collected from animal shelters in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Launceston, and from private kennels in Perth and Sydney, were tested for serum neutralizing (SN) antibody specific for CPIV-2. Samples from all areas showed positive reactions, confirming that in every State of Australia dogs have been exposed to CPIV-2. CPIV-2 may also play a role in 'kennel cough'.
