Evidence for Australia-wide canine parainfluenza infection [dogs; virus]
1989
McGavin, D.R. | Mellows, A.J. | Choice, I. (Arthur Webster Pty. Ltd., Castle Hill (Australia))
Serums collected from animal shelters in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Launceston, and from private kennels in Perth and Sydney, were tested for serum neutralizing (SN) antibody specific for CPIV-2. Samples from all areas showed positive reactions, confirming that in every State of Australia dogs have been exposed to CPIV-2. CPIV-2 may also play a role in 'kennel cough'.
