The tolerance of several corn hybrids to Turcicum leaf blight (Helminthosporium turcicum) was identified. (Fungus binomial is published for first time in Greece). The results indicated that corn plants are more sensitive before silking than 2-3 weeks later. Disease intensity during that sensitive period of the plant is very chemical and is significantly negatively correlated to grain yield
