The vital importance of Salmonella species in health and economy, its numerous serotypes, its occurrence and wide distribution in our local foods and environment have necessitated the need for control measures. Some of the results were: Salm. typhi was found sensitive to physical agents used and Sam. poratyphi A was sensitive to salt but resistant to glucose concentration
