Determination of selenium content in cereals

The author developed a new destructive method for the determination of Selenium content in cereals and other foods. The destruction is done with sulphuric acid - hyrogen peroxide mixture in a closed glass apparatus. The method is good reproducible and the recovery is satisfactory (from 69 to 100 per cent) the detection limit is: 0,025 mg/kg Selenium.
