Soil clods taken from potato fields cultivated by three different methods: chemical, mechanical and combined were tested. The clods from mechanically cultivated fields proved to be characterized by the greatest apparent density, crushing strength and desintegration resistance, whereas the lowest value of these parameters were found for the clods from chemically cultivated fields
