Chemical composition and parameters of protein utilization of 11 home and foreign selected peas were determined. The lysine content of breeds IP 8, IP 3, Tyrkys and Melinda was 7.6-6.0 g/100 protein. On basis of N-metabolism experiments the biological value and true digestibility was found 76 and 86 per cent, respectively. These results may help the work of agronomists and plant improvers in breed selection and qualification.
