The method suggested by Lemaire and Salete using nitrogen nutritional index (NNI) is suitable for chlorophyll meter readings calibration. The optimum value of SPAD through which index NNI reaches 1 is 510. Studies on calibration for this tool are needed for utilization N recommendations
