A microbiological and chemical study of frozen imported beef and their products in Baghdad

Frozen imported boneless beef, frozen minced meat and frozen hamburger, were investigated for microbial, chemical and physical analysis for 8 meat processing factories for a period of 5 months. The average aerobic plate counts (APC) were (6.9 x 4th the power of 10/g), (1.53 x 6th the power of 10/g) and (1.27 x 6th the power of 10/g), psychrotrophic were (3.4 x 4th the power of 10/g), (7.9 x 5th the power of 10/g) and (6 x 5th the power of 10/g), coliform were (3.8 x 2th the power of 10/g,) (4.72 x 3th the power of 10/g) and (1.75 x 4th power of 10/g).
