Biotransformation of phytomass in the conditions of a semi-solid state fermentation

Fusarium oxysporum was used for a semi-solid state fermentation of plant substrates. An optimal substrate consists of crushed corn + straw + sugar-beet in the ratio 1:0.5:0.5. After fermentation, the protein content increased by 78% compared with the pure substrate. That means that the sugars from substrate were transformed into mildew proteins. The product after fermentation had a high capacity of albumin-globulin fraction and essential aminoacids
