Results showed that copper affected the fungus growth negatively and reduced sporangia and germination of Zoospores, fungus growth and formation of sporangia were inhibited completely at the high concentrations of copper. Copper ion concentration at 300 ppm or more gave complete protection for pepper in sand culture. Also, the addition of 20 kg/donum of copper sulphate significantly reduced percenitage of infection.
