Both Benguet STate Univesrity - Northern Philippine Root Crop Research and Training Center (BSU-NPRCRTC) and the Central Mindanao University (CMU) conducted studies about the feasibility of processing and marketing the potato in Benguet and in Bukidnon [Philippines], respectively. Three studies were under the survey on the feasibility of processing and marketing of potato. These studies assessed the socio and technical aspects of the potato postharvest industry, and determined the profitability and applicability of a village level processing plant
