Breeding ostriches is a real challenges for breeders. Ostrich meat is a very good source of high quality nutrients for human nutrition, but on the other hand because of poor knowledge of its biological characteristics, breeding, nutrition, and management, there are many problems for producers, especially problems related to nutrition. During optimization of ostrich nutrition special attention have to be paid on their age, sex and production purpose as well as on the good balance between voluminous and concentrate part of the feed.
