[Effect of adding sea grass meal into rations on fatty acid consumption and cholesterol levels in eggs]

Forty Dekald Gold layer hens of 42 weeks age were given diet containing various compositions (2.5, 5.0, 7.5, 10.0 percent) of sea grass meal, and the fatty acid consumption and cholesterol in the eggs were measured. Increasing the composition of sea grass in the diet was discovered to be followed by increasing the consumption of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, but resulting the cholesterol decrease in the eggs.
