Carbofuran is the common name of the insecticide Furazed 10 GR. Chemically it is: 2, 3-Dihydro-2, 2-dimethyl benzofuran-7-yl methylcarbamate. Carbofuran is a systemic carbamate insecticide with acute oral LD50 for male and female rats 8 mg/kg (toxicity class I). Furazed, a commercial formulation of carbofuran, was tested by Dr. A.
