Carbofuran is the common name of the insecticide Furazed 10 GR. Chemically it is: 2, 3-Dihydro-2, 2-dimethyl benzofuran-7-yl methylcarbamate. Carbofuran is a systemic carbamate insecticide with acute oral LD50 for male and female rats 8 mg/kg (toxicity class I). Furazed, a commercial formulation of carbofuran, was tested by Dr. A. El Badawi Ali (2006) to control insect pests of eggplant. In this study, the persistence of carbofuran residues in eggplant was investigated following treatment with Furazed 10 GR
