This study was conducted to assess the effect on blood pressure of dietary linoleic acid from safflower oil in persons with normal blood pressure. Oleic acid was chosen as a control nutrient in this protocol. Blood viscosity and rates of sodium transport pathways in red blood cells were measured also.
