The prospects of growing lilies (Lilium) in Belarus

Russian. assortment. Lilies represent a prospective specie for green building due to their diversity, long blossoming and good combination with other coniferous and deciduous plants. The main goal of the research appears evaluation of the prospective viability of introduction of lilies in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. The estimation of the taxonomic composition of the collection of lilies of Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus has been given. hybrids have been evaluated. The following conclusions have been made: introduction of lilies on the territory of the Republic is reasonable, utilization of lilies in urban green building requires special agrotechnical conditions and phytosanitary protection, the most viable varieties are the frost-resistant ones.

Дана оценка таксономическому составу коллекции лилий ЦБС НАН Беларуси. Изучены адаптационные возможности сортов в условиях республики. Оценены декоративные и хозяйственно-биологические качества лилий гибридного происхождения. Выделены разделы, объединяющие менее трудозатратные и неприхотливые сорта, перспективные для зеленого строительства в Беларуси. Изучение обширного ассортимента лилий в измененных условиях выращивания показало, что их интродукция в Беларуси вполне возможна и оправдана. На приусадебных участках можно выращивать сорта всех изученных разделов. Использование же лилий в зеленом строительстве республики возможно лишь при соблюдении определенных агротехнических условий и фитосанитарной защиты. Азиатские, Кудреватые, ОТ- и ЛА-гибриды оказались менее трудозатратными в силу своей морозоустойчивости. Из-за трудоемкости выращивания не годятся для промышленных посадок Восточные и Трубчатые Гибриды, а также незимостойкие в условиях открытого грунта Длинноцветковые гибриды.
