Severe wine grape losses in the Margaret River region of Western Australia: a report of a study undertaken from June 1982 to April 1984 [climate, salinity]
1986
Hamilton, R.P.
Crop losses occurred in varieties tending to early bud burst. Initial investigations suggested that damage occurred after extreme weather conditions, with either salt or strong wind or both being responsible. The study found that the damage resembled artificially induced wind damage, and salt concentrations greater than those present during the storm period applied directly to vines did not produce symptoms.
