Over the normal December to March grazing season, diet digestibility declined from above 70 percent up to mid-March to 63 at the end of the month; nitrogen content declined steadily throughout, at a rate depending on vegetation types. This supports graziers' observations of a decline in cattle condition at the end of the season.
