M. Truman (Mennick Truman) Fossum (1912-1991) was an assistant professor of horticulture at the University of Maryland. He also served as director of research and member services for the Society of American Florists, a consultant for the Census Bureau, an agricultural economist and consultant for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and an economic analyst for Florists' Transworld Delivery Association (FTD).
