Biotin assessment in foods and body fluids by a protein binding assay (PBA)

A protein binding assay (PBA) was developed for determination of biotin in food samples and in blood plasma and urine specimens. The results showed that PBA for biotin is easier and more reproducible than the commonly used microbiological assay.
