2023
N. B. Ryabchikova | M. S. Kornilova | S. M. Nadezhkin
Relevance. This article shows the research conducted by researchers from the agrotechnical department of the Bykovskaya melon breeding station from 2018 to 2020.Results. The data obtained make it possible to scientifically substantiate the most cost-effective methods and techniques for treating table watermelon plants to increase productivity in the Volgograd Trans-Volga region. Indicators of economic efficiency of production make it possible to compare the results of economic activity and reveal the productivity of the enterprise for this period in connection with an increase in the use of means of production and labor. In modern conditions of development of agricultural production, there is a need to develop new technologies adapted to the new conditions of land use. In connection with the sharp decline in recent years in the use of fertilizers, the problem arose of finding ways to maximize the use of the biological factor. To obtain stable yields, it is necessary to increase the adaptive capabilities of plants to extreme conditions in which gourds are grown in the zone of industrial melon growing in the Volgograd Trans-Volga region. One of them is the use of plant growth regulators and water-soluble fertilizers. One of the advantages of these drugs is their simplicity, variety of methods of their application and low cost. According to the cost-effectiveness data, it can be seen that the foliar treatment of table watermelon plants was the best option. In the first experiment, the Fitozont regulator, in the second, the water-soluble fertilizer Khakafos with one and a half norm (0.9), in the third experiment, the best results were shown by the variant with foliar treatment with a growth regulator in combination with the water-soluble fertilizer Vigor Forte + Agrovin Profi at a dosage of (0.05+0.5).

2021
R. A. Gish
Relevance. The south of Russia occupies about 45% of the country's vegetable area and produces annually more than 5.7 million tons of vegetables or 48.9% of gross vegetable harvest in the country. The analysis of the state of open-ground vegetable growing in the south of Russia is given, taking into account the dynamics of acreage, yield, and gross harvest. The article presents a forecast of the development of openground vegetable growing in the south of Russia in the medium term, taking into account the organizational and legal changes in the industry.Materials and results. The purpose of the research. Analysis of the state of open-ground vegetable growing in the south of Russia and identification of factors hindering the further development of the industry. The role of innovations introduced into production, variety exchange and variety renewal in increasing the gross yield of vegetables are shown. The reasons of the shortfall in productivity in 10 of 15 subjects of districts below the level of the average district values are given. The article highlights the reasoned judgments about the need to enlarge vegetable farms, expand the range of vegetable crops grown, as well as the need for a widespread transition to organic vegetable growing. The paper uses the official materials of the Federal State Statistics Service (FSSS), reports of agricultural departments of the subjects of two districts, the analysis of which was carried out by the author and comments on them were made.

2020
A. S. Sokolov | G. F. Sokolova
Relevance and methods. The article presents the results of research of various methods of basic soil preparation for melons planting for commercial purposes after a fish pond. The trial scheme covered the study of two variants: dumped tillage single-furrow plow (traditional), used to proceed in the farming unit, and sweep blade tillage with subsurface plow (proposed). In the course of scientific research there were determined agrophysical properties of soil, moisture content, contamination of crops (weediness), yielding capacity and profitability.Results. It was found that the lowest bulk density of soil of 1.12 and 1.15 t/m3 was in the layers of 0.0-0.1 and 0.1-0.2 m after carrying out of the dumped tillage. When carrying out sweep blade tillage, the bulk density of soil of 1.17 t/m3 was obtained only in the upper layer of 0.0-0.1 m, in subsequent layers the value of bulk density of soil significantly increased from 1.44 (0.1-0.2 m) to 1.56 t/m3 (0.3-0.4 m). On average the indicators of natural soil moisture were in 1.2-1.3 times higher, and the deposit of moisture was in 1.1-1.5 times higher in the variant with subsurface plow treatment of the soil. For the melon crops cultivated according to traditional technology, there was a significant decrease in 1.8 times of the number of weeds and in 1.7 -times of their raw weight, compared with the proposed technology. The yielding capacity of melon of Lada variety was 43.9 t/ha according to the traditional technology, and 48.4 t/ha according to the proposed technology, profitability was 161.3% and 185.8% respectively.

S. T. Sanaev | I. A. Saparniyazov | A. B. Bektursynov
The purpose of the study is to determine the growth, development and yield quality of sweet corn varieties and hybrids when grown in different mulching materials in the soil-climatic conditions of Karakalpakstan.Methods. Selected sweet corn Zamin variety and Megaton F1 hybrids were grown in different mulching materials in the fallow season and evaluated for their growth, development and productivity in the conditions of Karakalpakstan in 2018-2020. Mulching materials were selected for growing varieties and hybrids. According to the results of the selection, the varieties and hybrids with a positive conclusion were recommended for use in the production of cultivation in mulching materials.Results. In 2018‒2020, the selected Zamin variety of sweet corn and the Megaton F1 hybrid, when grown on different mulching materials, yield varied from 10.8 t to 13.1 t per hectare. The highest productivity was recorded when mulching with manure and black membrane, it was 11.5-12.2 t per hectare in the Zamin variety, and 12.4-13.1 t in the Megaton F1 hybrid. Cultivation of sweet corn mulched with manure and black membrane has the highest net profit (19509.0 - 21890.8 thousand sums and 22120.5-24150.9 thousand sums) and the highest yield (123,8-138.6% and 134.7-146.8%).Conclusion. It was found that sweet corn varieties Zamin and Megaton F1 hybrids have high productivity indicators when mulched with black membrane and manure in the main term for the soil and climate conditions of Karakalpakstan, and it was recommended for large-scale planting in farms.

2017
B. U. Misrieva
The climatic conditions of the Derbent district of the Republic of Dagestan are favorable for seed-growing cabbage of white-cabbage and other varieties by a nonstop method. In the complex of measures to increase the efficiency of production of cabbage seeds, pest and disease control plays an important role. The article proves the application of a new approach to the protection system of testes of white cabbage. On the basis of long-term phytosanitary monitoring and biocenotic principles, which allow differentiating the use of protective equipment in each specific case, an integrated system of protection of testes of cabbage from the main pests in the conditions of the south of Russia has been developed. New progressive methods in the implementation of basic technological processes are economically justified. The introduction of the system ensured a significant increase in the yield of testes of white cabbage and the profitability of seed production. For each ruble of expenses for crop protection, 8.1 rubles of additional income was received. Applied in FIC VNIIR AES testicles of cabbage allowed to harvest 190 kg of additional yield of hybrid seeds from each hectare. The amount of realization of the additional harvest was 114,000 rubles. The recoupment of costs in terms of the ruble costs is 29.5 rubles. Reducing the pesticide load on agrocenosis, yielded a yield with good quality characteristics. The difference in germination was 5-6% higher when using satellites. The fulfillment of the seeds also depended on the protection system. Thus, the mass of 1000 seeds when using the AES of testes of cabbage in the F1 Hybrid Extra was 4.68 g, while the schedule of treatment was 3.83 g.
