Purpose. To study the peculiarities of technological qua­lity formation in sugar beet roots depending on the system of fertilization and crop rotation. Methods. Field, laboratory and statistical. Results. The studies were carried out on typical chernozems in the vetch-oats – winter wheat – sugar beet rotation. It was revealed that in the crop-replaceable and grain-tilled crop rotation on the background of the use of N100P100K100 + 50 t/ha of manure sugar losses in molasses was 1.11 and 1.08%, in the crop-replaceable rotation with 5 t/ha of straw plowing under + N100P100K100 it was 0.99%. With an increase in the dose of potash fertilizer to 150 kg/ha (N100P100K150) and the use of 50 t/ha of manure + K150 MB-factor was 13.93%, while in the case of plowing straw under together with mineral fertilizers it was 13.76%. In the grain rotation, the purity of normally purified juice was high against the background of the use of N100P100K100 + 50 t/ha of manure – 96.03%, whereas in the crop-replaceable and grain-tilled crop rotation – 95.35 and 95.56%, respectively; for an increase in the rate of fertilizers up to N160P200K200 + 50 t/ha of manure – 95.07%, and an increase in the dose of potassium in the fertilizer system – N100P100K150 + 50 t/ha of manure – 95.84%. Conclusions. An increase in the rate of fertilizers in the vetch-oats – winter wheat – sugar beet rotation leads to an increase in sugar losses in the molasses. In the grain-tilled crop rotation for the introduction of N160P200K200 + 50 t/ha of manure, the factory sugar yield decreased to 13.74%, with an increase in the potassium dose in the fertilizer system to N100P100K150 + 50 t/ha of manure, this indicator grows by 0.36%. In the case of plowing straw under on the background of N100P100K100, in the crop-replaceable rotation, the factory sugar yield is 8.15 t/ha, which is not inferior to the organo-mineral background of the sugar beet fertilization.

Purpose. Finding ways to activate the germination of sugar beet seeds, obtaining even and synchronous sprouts when applying fertilizer compositions with nanoscale elements. Methods. Vegetation and laboratory. The seeds of sugar beet were sown in prepared utensils with soil in accordance with the requirements of the methods for vegetation experiments. Fertilizers were introduced in the form of solutions with different ratios according to six microstages. Results. At 01 microstage on the BBCH scale (130 hours after sowing), an increase in the mass of beet fruits in all variants was observed - in the control variant by 9.78%; in the application of nanofertilizers - 20,4-23,7%. The diameter of the fruit varied similarly to changes in mass: in the control variant, the diameter change was 4.95%; in variants with application of nanofertilizers — 9.56-13.9%. Changes in the rate of sprout organs formation and their linear dimensions were noted in the various fertilization schemes. The length of the embryonic root at 05 microstage with uniform introduction of high norms of zinc and phosphorus, after 40 hours after sowing, was 0.540-2.671 mm. For other fertilizer combinations, the appearance of the germ root was noted only 44 hours after sowing. In 60 hours after sowing (07 microstage on the BBCH scale) there was a complete exit of cotyledons from the socket of the cluster with the introduction of nano chelate microfertilizers and only the beginning of the exit of cotyledons in the control variant. Due to the intensive processes of swelling and germination, the growth of the primary root of the sugar beet was accelerated. Conclusions. Uniform provision of seeds with zinc and especially phosphorus on the background of basic complex fertilizer with nanoscale elements contributed to the activation of seed germination and the intense formation of synchronously developed shoots. On average, the opening of the pericarp lid and the appearance of the root accelerated for 4 hours; 6 hours earlier there was an exit of cotyledons. With the introduction of nano chelate fertilizers, root growth and elongation of the hypocotyl at the first microstages of sugar beet sprouting were accelerated twice, due to which the sugar beet sprouts appeared 4-6 hours earlier. Nano chelate microfertilizers, promoting even and synchronous germination, development of sugar beet seedlings ensured synchronous emergence of seedlings and formation of predetermined sowing density without further reduction of plants.

Мета. Розробити метод прямого індукованого андрогенезу в культурі in vitro буряків цукрових. Методи. Біотехнологічні, цитологічні, селекційні, статистичні. Результати. Розроблено специфічні для буряків цукрових складники методу прямого індукованого андрогенезу в культурі in vitro, зокрема, визначено фазу розвитку мікроспор, оптимальну для ініціації андрогенезу, температурний режим передоброблення експлантів, умови культивування пиляків. За результатами цитологічного аналізу мікроспор та пилку буряків цукрових визначено, що одноядерна фаза вакуолізованої мікроспори є оптимальною для інокуляції пиляків на живильне середовище, а передоброблення експлантів із використанням низькотемпературного стресу (4–8 °С) протягом 3–15 діб є потрібним чинником, що ініціює перехід мікроспор з гаметофітного на спорофітний шлях розвитку. Розроблено склад живильних середовищ, різних за вмістом макроелементів, амінокислот, вітамінів та регуляторів росту, для культивування пиляків, ініціації процесів прямого андрогенезу та утворення ембріоїдів. За основу брали модифіковане живильне середовище Мурасіге–Скуга – 0,5 дози макроелементів з додаванням вітамінів: В1 – 10,0 мг/л; В6 – 1,0 мг/л; РР – 1,0 мг/л; С – 1,0 мг/л та амінокислот: глютамінової – 250,0–500,0 мг/л, аспарагінової – 1,0–10,0 мг/л, аргініну – 2,0–10,0 мг/л, тірозину – 1,0–10,0 мг/л, гідроксипроліну – 2,0–4,0 мг/л. За результатами досліджень визначено три найефективніші живильні середовища з різним умістом регуляторів росту: полістимулін А-6 – 1,0–3,0 мг/л за діючою речовиною + 6-БАП – 0,3–0,8 мг/л; 2,4-Д – 1,0–2,5 мг/л + 6-БАП – 0,3–0,8 мг/л + АБК – 0,3–1,0 мг/л або 6-БАП – 0,1–0,6 мг/л. Культивування пиляків буряків цукрових на розроблених живильних середовищах дало змогу отримати 0,15–1,32% андрогенних ембріоїдів різних типів та мікроклони андрогенного походження. Висновки. Розроблено метод прямого індукованого андрогенезу буряків цукрових: визначена оптимальна стадія розвитку мікроспор для інокуляції пиляків, режим температурного передоброб­лення експлантів, склад живильних середовищ для ініціації прямого андрогенезу in vitro та отримання різних типів андрогенних ембріоїдів. Результати проведеної роботи мають важливе значення для створення гаплоїдів та гомозиготних подвоєних гаплоїдних ліній, що сприятиме прискоренню селекційного процесу отримання нових сортів та гібридів буряків цукрових. | Purpose. To develop the method of direct induced androgenesis of sugar beet in culture in vitro. Methods. Biotechnological, cytological, breeding, statistical. Results. Specific for sugar beet components of the method of direct induced androgenesis in culture in vitro was developed, in particular, the phase of development of microspores, optimal for initiation of androgenesis, the temperature mode of explants pretreatment, conditions of anthers cultivation were determined. According to the results of cytological analysis of microspores and sugar beet pollen, it was determined that the single-nucleus stage of the vacuolized microspores is optimal for inoculation of anthers on the nutrient medium, and pre-treatment of explants using low-temperature stress (4–8 °С) for 3–15 days is a necessary factor that initiates the transition of microspores from gametophytic to sporophytic pathway of development. The composition of nutrient media, different in content of macroelements, amino acids, vitamins and growth regulators, for the cultivation of anthers, the initiation of processes of direct androgenesis and the formation of embryos have been developed. The modified Murazig-Skoog medium – 0.5 doses of macroelements with the addition of vitamins: B1 – 10.0 mg/l; B6 – 1.0 mg/l; PP – 1.0 mg/l; C – 1.0 mg/l and amino acids: glutamine – 250.0–500.0 mg/l, asparagine – 1.0–10.0 mg/l, arginine – 2.0–10.0 mg/l, tyrosine – 1.0–10.0 mg/l, hydroxyproline – 2.0–4.0 mg/liter was used as a basis. According to the results of research, three most effective nutrient media with different content of growth regulators have been determined: polystimulin A-6 – 1.0–3.0 mg/l for the active substance + 6-BAP – 0.3–0.8 mg/liter; 2.4-D – 1.0–2.5 mg/l + 6-BAP – 0.3–0.8 mg/l + ABK – 0.3–1.0 mg/l or 6-BAP – 0.1–0.6 mg/l. Cultivation of sugar beet anthers on the developed nutrient media allowed to obtain 0.15–1.32% of various types of androgen embryos and microclones of androgenic origin. Conclusions. The method of direct induced androgenesis of sugar beet is developed: the optimal stage of development of microspores for inoculation of anthers, the mode of temperature pre-treatment of explants, the composition of nutrient media for the initiation of direct in vitro androgens and the obtaining of various types of androgenic embryoids have been determined. The results of this work are important for the creation of haploids and homozygous double-haploid lines, which will accelerate the breeding process for obtaining new varieties and hybrids of sugar beet. | Цель. Molecular selection (MAS) makes the newest trend in breeding that has been progressively applied in many agricultural crops, including sugar beet. The article reviews papers on sugar beet MAL in Russia and overseas consi­ ering the methods applied and results obtained, das well as prospects for further development of this trend.

Те article reflects summary of hybridization and assessment of genetic value of pollen-sterile maternal lines of various origin and tetraploid pollinators produced by Bila Tserkva selection. High differential potential of pollinator-testers has been established. Best components exhibiting high combinative features have been detected, which served as a baseline for establishing MS (male sterile) hybrids of sugar beets.

The paper studies level of economically valuable characteristics of tetraploid lines of sugar beet developed at Bila Tserkva research and breeding station. Collection is established on that basis of highyield and high-sugar lines, hybridization with which has produced triploid MS hybrids displaying veracious excess of group standard for yielded sugar by 15...28%.

The article provides results of efficiency of double screening by quantity of normally developed germs affected of unfavorable abiotic factors, namely decreased temperatures of seeds sprouting and embryogenesis at extremes (heat, shortage of water).

Development and improvement of a female component of MS hybrids of sugar beet were carried out on the basis of the following methods: inereasing frequency of occurrence of sterility maintainers by means of preliminary saturation of the population with alleles of the x and z genes; the use, as a female form, of simple sterile hybrids from the crossing of sterile lines with unrelated O-types; and also the drawing in of complexes of valuable genes from materials of foreign origin.
