The article offers results of research on morphological characteristics and biological properties of blackberry, their inheritance, as well as stability and variability under the influence of agro-ecological conditions and stress factors of the environment with a view of recognizing, describing and identifying varieties undergoing official research and technical examination on DUS, which also could be used in the breeding process.

In late August the drought hardiness was estimated according to leaf injures and abscission in the field conditions. As a consequence, the studied varieties were divided into groups with different drought hardiness degree.

В полевых условиях была оценена устойчивость к засухе в конце августа по повреждению и осыпанию листьев. В лабораторных условиях определены основные показатели водного режима: оводненность тканей, водный дефицит, водоудерживающая способность листьев. В результате исследований изученные сорта распределены на группы с различной степенью устойчивости к засухе. | Проведена оцінка засухостійкості сортів обліпихи крушиноподібноїрізного еколого-географічного походження в польових і лабораторних умовах. У польових умовах оцінювали стійкість до засухи на кінець серпня за ушкодженням і осипанням листків. У лабораторних умовах визначали основні показники водного режиму: оводненість тканин, дефіцит води, водоутримувальну здатність листків. За результатами досліджень вивчені сорти поділили на групи за ступенем стійкості до засухи.
