Purpose. To establish the reasons of submitting not highly decorative lilac hybrids to state variety testing so that unpromising varieties and look-alikes can be sometimes included in the world collection, and focus on solving this situation. Methods. Analytical approach. Results. It was established why and how unoriginal hybrids were submitted to state variety testing that for several reasons can allow them to obtain the status of variety. Conclusions. In order to prevent obtaining the status of variety by some low decorative lilac hybrids, it is necessary that both a breeder and testing stations employer should use known presentable collections of identified varieties for evaluation of real value of a new hybrid. In Ukraine, there is such a collection at N. N. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine where more than 130 varieties and 21 species of the genus Syringa occupies the area of 2.35 ha. It is desirable to compare not only with the check variety that the breeder selected for his hybrid among such, but, if it is possible, with all varieties in the collection close to it by decorative effect. The problem is that the author of a hybrid, sometimes ignorantly or for some other reason, selects a check variety for his hybrid that is not the most decorative one among such, against which a candidate for variety status will be more attractive during its evaluation. In such a case, the breeder should change a check variety that permits to estimate really the decorative effect of a submitted hybrid.

To define morphological peculiarities of the different types of shoots of switch grass (Panicum virgatum L.) in the context of introduction in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe and Polissia zones of Ukraine. Methods. Morpho-physiological and ontogenetic analysis, morphometric technique, statistical evaluation. Results. It was found that P. virgatum plants were producing the following types of shoots: vegetative-generative short or long rhizomatous ones (they appeared as in the underground part of a maternal shoot in «the area of shortened internodes» and in the base of its aboveground part); vegetative underground and aboveground ones (they are forming both in the axils of scales of the underground part of a maternal shoot and in the axils of cauline leaves); generative aboveground shoots (borne in the axil of cauline leaves). Morphological parameters and features of morphogenesis of reproduction, resting and secondary buds have been described. Conclusions. During flowering phase of maternal shoot, P. virgatum reproduction buds were on the organogenesis phase I–II, their bursting occured after maternal shoot has flowered. The correlation of internodes length, leave blades and sheaths has been established. The maximum values of the above parameters were observed in the middle part of the prefloral zone of the stem. In the context of introduction, panicle earing came in the third decade of July, flowering began in the first decade of August. It was revealed that complete flowers are bloomed faster than the staminate ones.

Методи. Об’єкт досліджень – 36 сортів ячменю ярого вітчизняної та зарубіжної селекції. Сортовипробування проведено в Миронівському інституті пшениці імені В. М. Ремесла НААН України (МІП) (Центральний Лісостеп) у 2015–2017 рр., на Носівській селекційно-дослідній станції МІП (НСДС) (Полісся) та на Кіровоградській державній сільськогосподарській дослідній станції НААН (КДСГДС) (Північний Степ) у 2016–2017 рр. За три роки досліджень (2015–2017) отримано результати випробування сортів у семи середовищах. Ділянки обліковою площею 10 м2 закладали у триразовій повторності методом повних рендомізованих блоків, відповідно до загальноприйнятих методик. Статистичний аналіз експериментальних даних проведено з використанням комп’ютерних програм Excel 2010 і Statistica 8.0. Для наочної інтерпретації взаємодії «генотип–середовище» використано GGE biplot модель. Результати. Дисперсійний аналіз даних урожайності засвідчив достовірні внески у загальну варіацію середовища – 64,64%, гено­типу – 14,90% та їх взаємодії – 20,46%. Найвищою диференціювальною здатністю (інформативністю) характеризувались умови МІП у 2016 р., найнижчою – умови КДСГДС у 2017 р. Найбільш репрезентативними були умови МІП у 2017 р. і НСДС у 2016 р., найменш репрезентативними – у КДСГДС (2016 р.). Найвіддаленішими між собою були умови МІП та KДСГДС у 2016 р. Візуалізація GGE biplot «хто-де-переміг» дала змогу розподілити середовища на два сектори: перший – умови МІП 2015–2017 рр. і НСДС 2016–2017 рр., другий – умови КДСГДС 2016–2017 рр. У першому секторі суттєву перевагу мав сорт ‘МІП Мирний’, у другому – сорт ‘Скарб’. Диференційовано й виділено сорти ячменю ярого з оптимальним рівнем прояву врожайності в середовищах, найближчих до гіпотетичного «ідеального» генотипу GGE biplot моделі – ‘МІП Мирний’, ‘МІП Богун’, ‘Талісман Миронівський’, ‘МІП Азарт’, ‘Доказ’, ‘Пан’. Висновки. Моделювання багатосередовищних сортовипробувань шляхом комбінування контрастних за гідротермічним режимом років і різних екологічних умов з інтерпретацією результатів досліджень за сучасними статистично-графічними методами сприяє детальнішій характеристиці взаємодії «генотип–середовище», ранжируванню і виділенню перспективних генотипів.

Цель. Выявить закономерности уровня проявления урожайности сортов ячменя ярового во взаимодействии «генотип–среда» при испытании в разных экологичес­ких зонах Украины и выделить генотипы с повышенным адаптивным потенциалом.Методы. Объект исследований – 36 сортов ячменя ярового отечественной и зарубежной селекции. Сортоиспытания проведены в Мироновском институте пшеницы имени В. Н. Ремесло НААН Украины (МИП) (Центральная Лесостепь) в 2015–2017 гг., на Носовской селекционно-опытной станции МИП (НСОС) (Полесье) и Кировоградской государственной сельскохозяйственной опытной станции НААН (КГСХОС) (Северная Степь) в 2016–2017 гг. За три года исследований (2015–2017) получены результаты испытания сортов в семи средах. Делянки учетной площадью 10 м2 были заложены в трёхкратной повторности методом полных рендомизированных блоков, в соответствии с общепринятыми методиками. Статистический анализ экспериментальных данных проведен с использованием компьютерных программ Excel 2010 и Statistica 8.0. Для наглядной интерпретации взаимодействия «генотип–среда» использована GGE biplot модель.Результаты. Дисперсионный анализ данных урожайности засвидетельствовал достоверные вклады в общую вариацию среды – 64,64%, генотипа – 14,90% и их взаимодействия – 20,46%. Самой большой дифференцирующей способностью (информативностью) характеризировались условия МИП в 2016 г., наименьшей – условия КГСХОС в 2017 г. Наиболее репрезентативными были условия МИП в 2017 г. и НСХОС в 2016 г., наименее – в КГСХОС (2016 г.). Наиболее отдаленными между собой были условия МИП и КГСХОС в 2016 г. Визуализация GGE biplot «кто-где-победил» позволила разделить среды на два секторы: первый – условия МИП 2015–2017 гг. и НСОС 2016–2017 гг., второй – условия КГСХОС 2016–2017 гг. В первом секторе существенно превалировал сорт ‘МИП Мирный’, во втором – ‘Скарб’. Дифференцированы и выделены сорта ячменя ярового с наиболее оптимальным уровнем проявления урожайности в средах, наиболее близких к гипотетическому «идеальному» генотипу GGE biplot модели – ‘МИП Мирный’, ‘МИП Богун’, ‘Талисман Мироновский’, ‘МИП Азарт’, ‘Доказ’, ‘Пан’. Выводы. Моделирование многосредовых сортоиспытаний путем комбинирования контрастных по гидротермическим режимам годов и различных экологических условий с интерпретацией результатов исследований в соответствии с современными статистическо-графическими методами способствует более детальной характеристике взаимодействия «генотип–среда», ранжированию и выделению перспективных генотипов. | Purpose. To define the regularities of yield level for spring barley varieties in “genotype–environment” interaction when testing in different ecological zones environments of Ukraine and identify genotypes with increased adaptive potential. Methods. As object of the research there were 36 spring barley varieties of domestic and foreign breeding. Varieties were tested at the V. M. Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat of NAAS (MIW) (the Central Forest-Steppe) in 2015–2017, at Nosivka Plant Breeding Experimental Station of the V. M. Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat of NAAS (NPBES) (Polissia) in 2016–2017 and at Kirovohrad State Agricultural Experimental Station of NAAS (KSAES) (the Northern Steppe) in 2016–2017. During three years of the investigation (2015–2017), the results of varieties testing in seven environments have been obtained. Plots with discount area of 10 m2 were laid out with three replications by the method of full randomized blocks, in accordance with conventional methods. Statistical analysis of experimental data was performed using Excel 2010 and Statistica 8.0 software. To interpret visually “genotype-environment” interaction the GGE biplot model was used. Results. The ANOVA of yield data showed reliable contributions into the total variation of environment (64.64%), genotype (14.90%), and their interaction (20.46%). Environmental conditions of MIW in 2016 were characterized with the highest discriminative fineness (informativeness), while KSAES in 2017 were characterized with the lowest one. Environmental conditions of both MIW in 2017 and NPBES in 2016 were the most representative; conditions of KSAES in 2016 were the least representative. The conditions of MIW and KSSGDS in 2016 were the most distant against each other. The GGE biplot “who-won-where” vizualization allowed to divide the environments in two sectors: the first – conditions of MIW 2015–2017 and NPBES 2016–2017, the second – conditions of KSAES 2016–2017. The variety ‘MIP Myrnyi’ had a significant advantage in the first sector, while the variety ‘Skarb’ had it in the second one. The varieties of spring barley ‘MIP Myrnyi’, ‘MIP Bohun’, ‘Talisman Myronivskyi’, ‘MIP Azart’, ‘Dokaz’, ‘Pan’ have been differen­tiated and defined as those with the optimal level of yield in environments being the closest to hypothetical “ideal” genotype of the GGE biplot model. Conclusions. Modelling of integrated variety testing by combining years being contrast in hydrothermal regime and different ecological conditions with interpretation of the investigation results using modern statistical and graphical method contributes to more detailed characterization of the “genotype–environment” interaction, ranking and identifying of prospecting genotypes. | Мета. Purpose. To identify and describe the basic criteria for studying and assessing decorative and economic-and-biological characters of the genus Heuchera L. varieties in the context of introduction. Methods. Introduction procedure, analytical approach, morphological analysis and biometric data evaluation. Results. Aided by the comparative morphological analysis of introduced varieties of the genus Heuchera, significant differences in their characters were revealed, including plant height, height and width of the basal rosette of leaves, generative shoot height. There was a significant variation of such parameters as the number of generative shoots within one plant, the number of flowers on a single generative shoot, flowering abundance. Based on investigation findings, 17 groups of varieties were identified for the dominant color of adaxial surface of the leaf blade and 7 groups – for inflorescence color. According to phenological observations, Heuchera varieties groups were determined and the dates of commencement and duration of plants flowering were registered in the context of introduction. The results of these investigations are the necessary basis for the study and evaluation of this culture assortment, they are important in breeding and landscaping. Conclusions. Based on the results of investigations of morphological features of introduced species of the genus Heuchera, traits and parameters for varieties grouping were defined as well as decorative and economic-and-biological traits that should be evaluated.

Field study, laboratory analyses, intraspecific hybridization with subsequent individual selection. Results. New genotypes of the secon­dary triticale of the hexaploid level have been created and characterized for economic characters and agroecological traits and properties. Series of short-stem winter triticale was represented by ‘Pshenychne’, ‘Chaian’ to be adapted to the conditions of both intensive and organic farming. They are characterized by high drought resistance and winter hardiness, resistance to lodging, grain shedding, grain germination in the spike and spike fragility as well as by immunity to fungal diseases providing a high level of yield and technological quality of grain. The following new constant forms of triticale as ‘ПС_1-12’, ‘ПС_2-12’, ‘ПС_3-12’, that have an average height of the stem and belong to the Polissia-Forest-Steppe and Forest-Steppe ecotypes, demonstrated high productivity and adaptability in organic farming, particularly in case of the use of biologized elements of agrotechnology. Conclusions. For the creation a new parent material during breeding of hexaploid triticale, the method of intraspecific hybridization is desirable with the use of parent material to be contrasting for eco-geographical origin and adapted local forms, followed by individual selection of genotypes with the desired characteristics and properties in cleavable hybrid populations. New genotypes of the secondary triticale have been created and characterized for breeding, genetic and agroecological traits and properties. In breeding practice, it is advisable to use a whole new approach of agroecological and genetic certification of genotypes for the effective solution of a number of theoretical and practical tasks facing modern ecological and adaptive breeding. New parent material of the secondary winter triticale and scientific support for its cultivation is proposed for further breeding and plant growing.

Purpose. To investigate the varietal characteristics of the hemp plants for improving the quality indices of the soil they grow in, determine the amount of inorganic elements in the soil, level of their accumulation in plant stalkі and seeds. Methods. Field and spectrometric methods were basic. The results were processed using conventional methods in agriculture, crop growing and statistics. Variants of the experiment were as follows: varieties ‘Hliana’, ‘Hlesiia’: 1) soils; 2) stalks; 3) seeds. Schemes of experiments included: a) technical maturity of plants, row spacing 45 cm; b) tech­nical maturity of plants, row spacing 15 cm; c) biological maturity of plants, row spacing 45 cm; d) biological maturity of plants, row spacing 15 cm. Results. The amount of the accumulation of alkaline earth metals and their compounds by seeds and stalks of hemp plants depending on their content in vegetation soils was determined. It was found that stalks of the ‘Hlesiia’ plant accumulated strontium (Sr) and its compounds far less than that of ‘Hliana’, whereas in the seeds of the ‘Hlesiia’ variety the content of this chemical element was higher comparing with the previous variety by 70 and 78%, respectively. The difference in the accumulation of barium (Ba) compounds in seeds of hemp plants was not significant, while the tissues of the plant stalks of the ‘Hlia­na’ variety accumulated its compounds significantly more as compared to the ‘Hlesiia’ variety. The degree of influence of the variety, feeding area and the maturity stage on the processes of magnesium compounds (Mg) accumulation by plants was not revealed. Plants of the ‘Hlesiia’ variety accumulated far less calcium (Ca) and its compounds in the stalk tissues as compared to the plants of the ‘Hliana’ variety: in variants of the technical maturity stage of plants with row spacing 45 cm (a) and d – plants of narrow-row sowing (15 cm) in the biological maturity stage 30,94 and 15,95 mg/kg more in the presence in soil and in variants of the technical maturity stage of plants of narrow-row sowing (15 cm) and in the biological maturity stage with broad-sowing (45 cm) 34.54 and 24.19 mg/kg less in the presence in soil. Conclusions. The indices of accumulation of alkaline earth metals by hemp plants were significantly affected by the concentration of compounds of a certain chemical element in the arable layer, the level of energy (light) obtained by plants during vegetation, the varietal features of hemp, the stages of organogenesis of hemp plants and the specificity of their aboveground parts – stalks to accumulate these chemical elements as well as cumulate them by seeds. The varietal dependence as for accumulation of heavy metals by hemp plants tissues and seeds was established. In order to obtain environmentally friendly products, it is necessary to take into account the varietal features of plants concerning the ability to absorb and accumulate the relevant chemical elements and their compounds in the process of hemp culti­vation.

Цель. Исследовать сортовые особенности растений конопли посевной с целью улучшения качественных показателей почвы, на которой они произрастают, определить содержание неорганических элементов в почве, уровень их накопления в стеблях растений и семенах. Методы. Основные – полевой и спектрометрический. Результаты обрабатывали по общепринятым методикам в земледелии, растениеводстве и статистике. Варианты опыта – сорта ‘Гляна’, ‘Глесия’: 1) почва; 2) стебли; 3) семена. Схемы опытов: а) техническая спелость растений, междурядья 45 см; б) техническая спелость растений, междурядья 15 см; в) биологическая спелость растений, междурядья 45 см; г) биологическая спелость растений, междурядья 15 см. Результаты. Определены величины аккумуляции щёлочноземельных металлов и их соединений семенами и стеблями конопли посевной в зависимости от содержания их в почвах на протяжении вегетации. Выявлено, что стебли растений сорта ‘Глесия’ накапливали стронция (Sr) и его соединений значительно меньше по сравнению с растениями сорта ‘Гляна’, а в семенах сорта ‘Глесия’ содержание этого химического элемента превышало содержание в семенах предыдущего сорта на 70 и 78% соответственно. Разность в накоплении соединений бария (Ва) семенами конопли посевной между сортами была не существенной, тогда как ткани стеблей растений сорта ‘Гляна’ накапливали его соединений значительно больше по сравнению с сортом ‘Глесия’. Исследованиями не выявлено влияния доли сорта, площади питания и фазы созревания на процессы аккумуляции растениями соединений магния (Mg). Сорт ‘Глесия’ накапливал в тканях стеблей гораздо меньше кальция (Са) и его соединений по сравнению с растениями сорта ‘Гляна’: в вариантах в фазе технической спелости растений в посевах с междурядьями 45 см (а) и г – растения узкорядных посевов (15 см) в фазе биологической спелости – на 30,94 и 15,95 мг/кг больше при наличии в почве и в вариантах в фазе технической спелости растений с узкорядным посевом (15 см) и в фазе биологической спелости с широкорядным посевом (45 см) – меньше на 34,54 и 24,19 мг/кг.Выводы. На показатели аккумуляции щёлочноземельных металлов растениями конопли посевной существенно повлияли: концентрация соединений определенного химического элемента в пахотном слое почвы, уровень энергетического (светового) обес­печения растений в процессе вегетации, сортовые особенности конопли посевной, этапы органогенеза растений, специфические особенности наземной части – стеблей – накапливать эти химические элементы, а также семенами. Выявлена сортовая зависимость накопления тяжелых металлов тканями растений и семенами конопли посевной. Для получения экологически чистой продукции необходимо учитывать сортовые особенности растений поглощать и аккумулировать соответствующие химические элементы и их соединения при выращивании культуры. | Мета. Дослідити сортові особливості рослин конопель посівних з метою поліпшення якісних показників ґрунтів, на яких вони ростуть, визначити вміст неорганічних елементів у ґрунті, рівень їх накопичення у стеблах рослин і насінні.Методи. Основні – польовий і спектрометричний. Результати опрацьовували за загальноприйнятими методиками у землеробстві, рослинництві та статистиці. Варіанти досліду – сорти ‘Гляна’, ‘Глесія’: 1) ґрунт; 2) стебла; 3) насіння. Схеми дослідів: а) технічна стиглість рослин, міжряддя 45 см; б) технічна стиглість рослин, міжряддя 15 см; в) біологічна стиглість рослин, міжряддя 45 см; г) біологічна стиглість рослин, міжряддя 15 см.Результати. Визначено величину акумуляції лужноземельних металів та їхніх сполук насінням і стеблами рослин конопель посівних залежно від їх вмісту в ґрунтах. Виявлено, що стебла рослин сорту ‘Глесія’ накопичували стронцію (Sr) та його сполук значно менше порівняно з рослинами сорту ‘Гляна’, а в насінні сорту ‘Глесія’ вміст цього хімічного елемента був вищим порівняно з попереднім сортом на 70 і 78% відповідно. Різниця в накопиченні сполук барію (Ва) в насінні сортів конопель посівних була неістотною, тоді як тканини стебел рослин сорту ‘Гляна’ накопичували його сполук значно більше порівняно з сортом ‘Глесія’. Дослідженнями не виявлено впливу частки сорту, площі живлення та фази достигання на процеси акумуляції рослинами сполук магнію (Mg). Сорт ‘Глесія’ накопичував у тканинах стебел рослин відчутно менше кальцію (Са) та його сполук порівняно з рослинами сорту ‘Гляна’: у варіантах фази технічної стиглості рослин у посівах з міжряддями 45 см (а) і г – рослини вузькорядного висіву (15 см) у фазі біологічної стиглості на 30,94 і 15,95 мг/кг більше за наявності у ґрунті та у варіантах фази технічної стиглості рослин вузькорядного висіву (15 см) і у фазі біологічної стиглості з широкорядним висівом (45 см) – на 34,54 і 24,19 мг/кг менше за наявності в ґрунті.Висновки. На показники акумуляції лужноземельних металів рослинами конопель посівних істотно вплинули: концентрація сполук певного хімічного елемента в орному шарі ґрунту, рівень енергетичного (світлового) забезпечення рослин у процесі вегетації, сортові особливості конопель посівних, етапи органогенезу рослин і специфічні особливості їх наземної частини – стебел – накопичувати ці хімічні елементи, а також насінням. Встановлено сортову залежність щодо накопичення важких металів тканинами рослин і насінням конопель посівних. Для отримання екологічно чистої продукції необхідно враховувати сортові особливості рослин щодо здатності поглинати й акумулювати відповідні хімічні елементи та їхні сполуки під час вирощування культури. | Purpose. To investigate the varietal characteristics of the hemp plants for improving the quality indices of the soil they grow in, determine the amount of inorganic elements in the soil, level of their accumulation in plant stalkі and seeds.Methods. Field and spectrometric methods were basic. The results were processed using conventional methods in agriculture, crop growing and statistics. Variants of the experiment were as follows: varieties ‘Hliana’, ‘Hlesiia’: 1) soils; 2) stalks; 3) seeds. Schemes of experiments included: a) technical maturity of plants, row spacing 45 cm; b) tech­nical maturity of plants, row spacing 15 cm; c) biological maturity of plants, row spacing 45 cm; d) biological maturity of plants, row spacing 15 cm.Results. The amount of the accumulation of alkaline earth metals and their compounds by seeds and stalks of hemp plants depending on their content in vegetation soils was determined. It was found that stalks of the ‘Hlesiia’ plant accumulated strontium (Sr) and its compounds far less than that of ‘Hliana’, whereas in the seeds of the ‘Hlesiia’ variety the content of this chemical element was higher comparing with the previous variety by 70 and 78%, respectively. The difference in the accumulation of barium (Ba) compounds in seeds of hemp plants was not significant, while the tissues of the plant stalks of the ‘Hlia­na’ variety accumulated its compounds significantly more as compared to the ‘Hlesiia’ variety. The degree of influence of the variety, feeding area and the maturity stage on the processes of magnesium compounds (Mg) accumulation by plants was not revealed. Plants of the ‘Hlesiia’ variety accumulated far less calcium (Ca) and its compounds in the stalk tissues as compared to the plants of the ‘Hliana’ variety: in variants of the technical maturity stage of plants with row spacing 45 cm (a) and d – plants of narrow-row sowing (15 cm) in the biological maturity stage 30,94 and 15,95 mg/kg more in the presence in soil and in variants of the technical maturity stage of plants of narrow-row sowing (15 cm) and in the biological maturity stage with broad-sowing (45 cm) 34.54 and 24.19 mg/kg less in the presence in soil.Conclusions. The indices of accumulation of alkaline earth metals by hemp plants were significantly affected by the concentration of compounds of a certain chemical element in the arable layer, the level of energy (light) obtained by plants during vegetation, the varietal features of hemp, the stages of organogenesis of hemp plants and the specificity of their aboveground parts – stalks to accumulate these chemical elements as well as cumulate them by seeds. The varietal dependence as for accumulation of heavy metals by hemp plants tissues and seeds was established. In order to obtain environmentally friendly products, it is necessary to take into account the varietal features of plants concerning the ability to absorb and accumulate the relevant chemical elements and their compounds in the process of hemp culti­vation.

Among the evaluated material, eight hybrids of the competitive and ecological test have been selected (drought resistance coefficient was ranging from 59.4% to 84.8%) and five biotechnological lines of ‘Hlazurna’ and ‘Dorohin’ varieties (drought resistance coefficient was in the range of 55.5% to 67.5%). As for wild species, almost half of the samples (47.8%) were characterized by a high coefficient of drought resistance (from 55 to 78%). Selected samples with high values of drought resistance were recommended to use as a source and drought resistance donors when creating new potato varieties. Conclusions. The initial potato material (hybrids, varieties, biotechnological lines and wild species) with high values of drought resistance (55.0–84.8%) has been selected. These samples are recommended to use in the breeding process when creating new drought resistance potato varieties.

Наведено дані оцінювання водоутримувальної та водовідновлювальної здатності листків картоплі перспективних гібридів конкурсно-екологічного випробування, сортів батьківського розсадника, біотехнологічних ліній і диких видів та їх інтегрального показника посухостійкості. Досліджувані зразки вирощували в розсадниках польової селекційної сівозміни. Відповідно визначено вихідний матеріал з найвищим показником посухостійкості. З-поміж оцінюваного матеріалу виділено: вісім гібридів конкурсно-екологічного випробування – коефіцієнт посухостійкості коливався від 59,4 до 84,8%, п’ять біотехнологічних ліній сортів ‘Глазурна’ та ‘Дорогинь’ – коефіцієнт посухостійкості у межах від 55,5 до 67,5%. Серед диких видів майже половина зразків (47,8%) мала високий коефіцієнт посухостійкості – від 55 до 78%. Зразки з високими показниками посухостійкості рекомендовано використовувати як джерело та донори стійкості до посухи під час створення нових посухостійких сортів картоплі.Висновки. Виділено вихідний матеріал картоплі (гібриди, сорти, біотехнологічні лінії та дикі види) з високим коефіцієнтом посухостійкості (55,0–84,8%). Рекомендується використовувати ці зразки у селекційному процесі під час створення посухостійких сортів картоплі. | Цель. Исследуемые образцы выращивали в питомниках полевого селекционного севооборота. Соответственно определен исходный материал с наивысшим показателем засухоустойчивости. Среди оцениваемого материала выделено: восемь гибридов конкурсно-экологического испытания – коэффициент засухоустойчивости колебался от 59,4 до 84,8%, пять биотехнологических линий сортов ‘Глазурна’ и ‘Дорогинь’ с коэффициентом засухоустойчивости в пределах от 55,5 до 67,5%. Среди диких видов почти половина образцов (47,8%) имели высокий коэффициент засухоустойчивости – от 55 до 78%. Образцы с высокими показателями засухоустойчивости рекомендовано использовать как источники и доноры устойчивости к засухе при создании новых засухоустойчивых сортов картофеля. Выводы. Выделен исходный материал картофеля (гибриды, сорта, биотехнологические линии и дикие виды) с высоким коэффициентом засухоустойчивости (55,0–84,8%). Procedures are conventional in viticulture. All stages of agrobiological research were carried out according to the M. A. Lazarevskiy technique. The resistance of genetic resources to fungal diseases was assessed using the 9-point scale on the natural infectious background with maximum damage. Organoleptic evaluation of wine and fresh grapes was performed using 8-point and a 10-point scales respectively. Results. The main agrobiological traits (resistance to diseases, productivity and yield quality) of 22 perspective grape varieties and forms were studied. The level of resistance to fungal diseases was determined as one of the main criteria of the variety suitability for ecological (adaptive) viticulture. During five years, the average resistance level of this group of table and wine varieties was not lower than the relative one (6.5–7 points), and in ‘Zagrei’ variety – up to 7,5 points. The level of quality characteristics of products of new grape varieties and forms was determined (wine evaluation, marketability and assessment of fresh table grapes). Samples with a combination of high wine and grape quality characteristics and high productivity were selected. To replenish the gene pool of grapes by adaptive varieties, such perspective hybrid combinations as ‘Opalovyi’ ´ ‘Burmunk, ‘Avgustin’ ´ ‘Oryhinal and ‘Ohoniok tairovskyi’ ´ ‘Kardyshakh’ were studied. The level of group resistance to fungal diseases was identified and the perspective genotypes were preliminarily selected. Conclusions. The level of display of a number of economic characters in the group of perspective table and wine grape varieties and forms was determined. Highly adaptive and highly productive varieties and forms suitable for the use in the adaptive viticulture were defined. Prospective hybrid combinations were considered, from which highly adaptive varieties will be selected as suitable for the ecological system of viticulture.

To review publications relating to the key point of the genotyping technology that is competitive allele-specific polymerase chain reaction (which is called now Kompetitive Allele Specific PCR, KASPTM) and its use in various genetic-breeding researching (a study of maize). Results. The essence of KASP-genotyping, its advantages are highlighted. The requirements for matrix DNA are presented, since the success of the KASP-analysis depends on its qua­lity and quantity. Examples of global projects of plant breeding for increasing crop yields using the KASP genoty­ping technology are given. The results of KASP genotyping and their introduction into breeding and seed production, in particular, for determining genetic identity, genetic purity, origin check, marker-assisted selection, etc. are presented using maize as an example. It is demonstrated how geno­mic selection according to KASP genotyping technology can lead to rapid genetic enhancement of drought resistance in maize. Comparison of the effectiveness of creating lines with certain traits (for example, combination of high grain yield and drought resistance) using traditional breeding approaches (phenotype selection) and molecular genetic methods (selection by markers) was proved that it takes four seasons (two years in case of greenhouses) in order to unlock the potential of the plant genotype using traditional self-pollination, test-crossing and definitions), while using markers, the population was enriched with target alleles during one season. At the same time, there was no need for a stress factor. Conclusions. KASP genotyping technology is a high-precision and effective tool for modern genetics and breeding, which is successfully used to study genetic diversity, genetic relationship, population structure, gene­tic identity, genetic purity, origin check, quantitative locus mapping, allele mapping, marker-assisted selection, marker-assisted breeding. It is expedient and timely to introduce KASP genotyping technology in our country to solve a wide range of modern genetics, breeding, seed production tasks.
