Purpose. Based on the study of consumer qualities of perspective potato hybrids (Solanum tuberosum L.) the ones with a high degree of differentiation depending on the biochemical composition of tubers and culinary-consumer type were identified.Methods. High cooking quality of the tubers was detected in early-season hybrids (‘99.523-15’, ‘205.791-3’, ‘205.785-25’, ‘205.792-205’). Soft crispy texture was detected in mid-early (‘205.776-25’, ‘99.546-3’) and mid-season (‘205.782-24’, ‘205.786-72’, ‘205.798-43’) hybrids. The mid-early hybrid '205.780-8' contained high levels of starch. In terms of resistance to browning, three early-season (‘99.517-39’, ‘203.703-2’, ‘205.785-25’) and two mid-season hybrids (‘205.781-9’, ‘205.788-3’) were selected.  It is proved, that the taste development depended on the starch content (r=0,657), proportion of starch/protein (r=0,470) and sugars accumulation (r= -450). The positive dependence of the cooking quality of the tubers on their starchiness (r=0,945), proportion of starch and protein (r=0,900) was detected. The influence of proportion of starch/protein over the texture of the tubers (r=0,877) and starch content (r=0,868) was established. Mealiness depended on sugars (r= -0,494) and starch content (r=0,474), resistance to browning – on tyrosine content in protein (r=-0,873) and free tyrosine content (r= - 0,824). In terms of culinary and consumer type of food (table) potatoes, eight hybrids were rated as type B, five and five hybrids belonged to types A and C respectively, and three hybrids belonged to type D. Conclusions. The selected, as for the high level of culinary quality indicators, hybrids can be recommended as valuable output material for practical plant breeding. Determination of biological interrelation of potato culinary quality indicators and biochemical composition of their tubers allowed to develop mathematical simulations to predict taste and texture, and it practically relieved from boiling and subjective evaluation by organoleptic method of tasting results. Формирование вкуса зависело в основном от содержания крахмала (r = 0,657), соотношения крахмал / белок (r = 0,470) и накопления сахаров (r = -450). Была обнаружена сильная положительная зависимость разваривания клубней от их крахмалистости (r = 0,945), соотношения содержания крахмала и белка (r = 0,900). Определено влияние соотношения крахмал / белок на консистенцию клубней (r = 0,877) и содержания в них крахмала (r = 0,868). Мучнистость зависела от сахаров (r = -0,494) и крахмалистости клубней (r = 0,474), устойчивость к потемнению мякоти – от содержания тирозина в белке (r = -0,873) и свободного тирозина (r = - 0,824). По кулинарно-потребительскому типу столового картофеля восемь гибридов было отнесено к типу В, по пять – к типу А и С, три – к типу Д.Выводы. Выделенные гибриды с высокой степенью проявления показателей потребительского качества могут быть рекомендованы как ценный исходный материал для практической селекции. Определение биологической взаимосвязи показателей качества картофеля и биохимического состава их клубней позволило разработать математические модели для прогнозирования вкуса и текстуры, что практически освобождает от варки и субъективной оценки органолептическим методом результатов дегустации. Систематизация кулинарно-потребительского типа картофеля столового назначения может быть предметом обсуждения в государственном сортоиспытании. | Мета. Формування смаку залежало здебільшого від умісту крохмалю (r = 0,657), співвідношення крохмаль / білок (r = 0,470) і накопичення цукрів (r = -450). Було виявлено сильну позитивну залежність розварювання бульб від їхньої крохмалистості (r = 0,945) та співвідношення вмісту крохмалю і білка (r = 0,900). Визначено вплив співвідношення кромаль / білок на консистенцію бульб (r = 0,877) та вміст крохмалю (r = 0,868). Борошнистість залежала від умісту цукрів (r = -0,494) та крохмалистості бульб (r = 0,474), стійкість до потемніння м’якоті – від умісту тирозину у білку (r = -0,873), вільного тирозину (r = -0,824). За кулінарно-споживчим типом столової картоплі вісім гібридів було віднесено до типу В, по п’ять – до типів А і С, три – до типу Д.Висновки. Виділені гібриди за високим ступенем проявлення показників кулінарної якості можуть бути рекомендовані як цінний вихідний матеріал для практичної селекції. Встановлення біологічного взаємозв’язку показників кулінарної якості картоплі і біохімічного складу їхніх бульб дозволило розробити математичні моделі для прогнозування смаку і текстури, що практично звільняє від варіння та суб’єктивного оцінювання органолептичним методом результатів дегустації. Систематизація кулінарно-споживчого типу картоплі столового призначення може бути предметом обговорення за державного сортовипробування.

Determine the effect of plant densities and the use of Organic-balance biological preparation on growth, development of photosynthetic potential and seed yield of maize lines, parental components of perspective hybrids (‘Arabat’, ‘Skadovskyi’, ‘Kakhovskyi’, ‘Azov’, ‘Chonhar’, ‘Hileia’ etc.) under conditions of drip irrigation.Methods. Field, morphometric, statistical.Results. In the flowering phase, the maximum differences in the area of the assimilation surface were observed between the maize lines and between variants using different plant densities and Organic-balance biological preparation. The largest indicator of the area of the assimilation surface was at the mid-late line DK445 for a standing density of 70 thousand plants/ha and the use of organic preparation Organic balance – 0.489 m2/plant. Organic-balance biological preparation had a positive effect on the dynamics of the area of the assimilation surface of the lines, had provide an increase of 0.04 m2/plant or 9.5% over individual phases of development compared to untreated control. The maximum value of the net productivity of photosynthesis – 6.78 g/m2 per day, was obtained from the FAO 420 line at a density of 70 thousand plant/ha, in the FAO 350 line was less by 4.3% with a maximum at a density of 80 thousand. plants/ha. The results obtained indicate that in order to plan the production of seed material of maize lines, which are the parent components of hybrids, their genotypic features, the response to the density of phytocenoses and biological preparation with growth-stimulating action must be taken into account.

Цель. Установить оптимальные сроки сева и глубину заделки семян сорго зернового сортов ‘Дніпровський 39’ и ‘Вінець’, обосновать их влияние на фотосинтетическую продуктивность посевов в условиях Правобережной Лесостепи Украины.Методы. Полевой, лабораторный, сравнительный, аналитический, обобщающий, математически-статистический.Результаты. Наилучшие результаты фотосинтетической продуктивности посевов сорго зернового получены во время сева в I декаде мая (второй срок) на глубине заделки семян 4–6 см. Соответственно, площадь листовой поверхности в этих вариантах в период «выбрасывания метелки–цветения» достигала максимума и составляла 36,13–38,81 тыс. м2/га у сорта ‘Дніпровський 39’ и 34,23 – 36,91 тыс. м2/га у сорта ‘Вінець’. При севе семян в III декаде апреля (первый срок) при вышеуказанных значениях глубины заделки площадь листовой поверхнос­ти у сортов была несколько меньше и составляла 29,56–31,20 тыс. м2/га у сорта ‘Дніпровський 39’ и 27,76–29,40 тыс. м2/га у сорта ‘Вінець’. При севе семян во II декаде мая (третий срок) площадь листовой поверхности составляла 30,68–32,92 тыс. м2/га у сорта ‘Дніпровський 39’ и 29,08–31,32 тыс. м2/га у сорта ‘Вінець’. Фотосинтетический потенциал был самым высоким в растениях сорго зернового во втором сроке сева семян на глубине заделки 4–6 см и составлял 1,27 и 1,34 млн м2/га у сорта ‘Дніпровський 39’ и 1,16 и 1,22 млн м2/га у сорта ‘Вінець’. В первом сроке сева этот показатель был несколько ниже и составлял 1,18 и 1,23 млн м2/га у сорта ‘Дніпровський 39’ и 0,98 и 1,02 млн м2/га у сорта ‘Вінець’, соответственно. В третьем сроке сева он был самым низким, у сорта ‘Дніпровський 39’ этот показатель составлял 1,09 и 1,13 млн м2/га, у сорта ‘Вінець’ – 0,88 и 0,93 млн м2/га при оптимальных значениях глубины заделки семян. На глубине заделки семян 2 и 8 см фотосинтетический потенциал был ниже, что объясняют различными почвенно-климатическими условиями в определенный период развития растений сорго. Наивысшее значение показателя чистой продуктивности фотосинтеза было получено при севе семян в оптимальные сроки и оптимальной глубине заделки семян и составляло 3,84–4,02 г/м2 в сутки у сорта ‘Дніпровський 39’ и 3,79–3,98 г/м2 в сутки у сорта ‘Вінець’, соответственно.Выводы. Лучше развивались и формировали фотосинтетическую продуктивность растения сорго зернового при севе семян в первой декаде мая на глубине заделки 4–6 см, которые и рекомендованы для выращивания данной культуры в Правобережной Лесостепи Украины. | Purpose. Відповідно, площа листкової поверхні за цих факторів у період «викидання волоті – цвітіння» сягала максимуму і дорівнювала 36,13–38,81 тис. м2/га у сорту ‘Дніпровський 39’ та 34,23–36,91 тис. м2/га у сорту ‘Вінець’. За сівби насіння у ІІІ декаді квітня (перший строк) за таких самих значень глибини загортання площа листкової поверхні у сортів була дещо меншою і становила 29,56–31,20 тис. м2/га у сорту ‘Дніпровський 39’ та 27,76–29,40 тис. м2/га у сорту ‘Вінець’. За сівби насіння у ІІ декаді травня (третій строк) площа листкової поверхні дорівнювала 30,68–32,92 тис. м2/га у сорту ‘Дніпровський 39’ та 29,08–31,32 тис. м2/га у сорту ‘Вінець’. Фотосинтетичний потенціал був найвищим у рослин сорго зернового за ІІ строку сівби насіння та глибини загортання 4–6 см й дорівнював 1,27 та 1,34 млн м2/га у сорту ‘Дніпровський 39’ і 1,16 та 1,22 млн м2/га у сорту ‘Вінець’. За І строку сівби цей показник був дещо меншим і відповідно становив 1,18 та 1,23 млн м2/га у сорту ‘Дніпровський 39’ й 0,98 і 1,02 млн м2/га у сорту ‘Вінець’. За ІІІ строку сівби він був найменшим та у сорту ‘Дніпровський 39’ дорівнював 1,09 і 1,13 млн м2/га, у сорту ‘Вінець’ 0,88 і 0,93 млн м2/га за оптимальних значень глибини загортання насіння. За глибини загортання насіння 2 та 8 см фотосинтетичний потенціал був нижчим, що пояснюють різними ґрунтово-кліматичними умовами у певний період розвитку рослин сорго. Найбільше значення показника чистої продуктивності фотосинтезу було отримано за сівби насіння в оптимальні строки та за оптимальної глибини загортання насіння і становило у сорту ‘Дніпровський 39’, відповідно, 3,84–4,02 г/м2 за добу, у сорту ‘Вінець’ 3,79–3,98 г/м2 за добу.Висновки. Найкраще розвивались та формували фотосинтетичну продуктивність рослини сорго зернового за сівби насіння у першій декаді травня на глибину загортання 4–6 см, які й рекомендовано для вирощування даної культури в Правобережному Лісостепу України.

Цель. Определение молекулярно-генетического полиморфизма сортов салата посевного отечественной селекции с помощью EST-SSR маркеров.Методы. Молекулярно-генетический анализ, статистические методы.Результаты. Представлены результаты изучения молекулярно-генетического полиморфизма 7 сортов салата посевного с помощью 7 EST-SSR маркеров. В результате анализа по исследуемым маркерам идентифицировано 37 аллелей, в среднем 5,29 аллели на локус. Наиболее полиморфным оказался маркер KSL-92, с помощью которого выявлено 7 аллелей, Polymorphism Information Content (РІС) – 0,98. Наименьшее значение РІС – 0,57 было у маркера KSL-37, с помощью которого идентифицировано наименьшее количество аллелей – 3. Для оценки генетического разнообразия сортов салата с помощью EST-SSR маркеров были определены генетические дистанции между сортами с применением меры близости Жаккара. Наиболее близкими оказались сорта, генетические дистанции между которыми составляли 0,17: ʻЗорепад’ и ʻМалахит’, ʻМалахит’ и ʻДублянский’, ʻДублянский’ и ʻСмуглянка’, ʻКрутянский’ и ʻСмуглянка’. Наиболее удаленным оказался сорт ʻСкарб’ со значениями генетических дистанций 0,00 по отношению к другим исследуемым сортам. Согласно рассчитанным генетическим дистанциям сорта ʻЗорепад’ и ʻМалахит’, ʻМалахит’ и ʻДублянский’, которые относятся к одной разновидности Lactuca sativa L. var. secalina, имели высокую степень генетической близости. Сорта ʻСкарб’ и ʻПогоныч’, которые относятся к разновидностям Lactuca sativa L. var. longifolia и Lactuca sativa L. var. angustana, соответственно, были генетически отдаленными, что подтверждают значения генетических дистанций. Значение индекса Шеннона внутри разновидности салата посевного по исследуемым EST-SSR маркерам составляло 0,61, между разновидностями – 0,96, среднее значение – 1,57.Выводы. Наиболее высокий уровень полиморфизма был отмечен по маркеру KSL-92, наименьшее количество аллелей (3 аллели) было идентифицировано с помощью маркера KSL-37. Сорта, генетические дистанции между которыми составляли 0,17, оказались наиболее близкими. Наиболее отдаленным сортом по исследованным EST-SSR маркерам оказался сорт ʻСкарб’. | Мета. Сорти ‘Скарб’ і ‘Погонич’, які належать до різновидів L. sativa L. var. longifolia та var. angustana, відповідно, були генетично віддаленими, що підтвердили значення генетичних дистанцій. Значення індексу Шеннона всередині різновиду салату посівного за досліджуваними EST-SSR маркерами становило 0,61, між різновидами – 0,96, середнє значення – 1,57.Висновки. Найвищий рівень поліморфізму було зауважено за маркером KSL-92, найменшу кількість алелів (3 алеля) було ідентифіковано за маркером KSL-37. Сорти, генетичні дистанції між якими становили 0,17, виявились найближчими. Найвіддаленішим сортом за досліджуваними EST-SSR маркерами виявився сорт ‘Скарб’. | Purpose. According to the calculated genetic distances, the cultivars ‘Zorepad’ and ‘Malakhit’, ‘Malakhit’ and Dublianskyi’, which belong to the same variety Lactuca sativa L. var. secalina have a strong genetic similarity. The cultivars‘Skarb’ and ‘Pohonych’, which belong to the varieties Lactuca sativa L. var. longifolia and Lactuca sativa L. var. angustana, respectively, were genetically distant, what was confirmed by genetic distances values. Purpose. To reveal the peculiarities of leaf area formation and a structure of lentils variety ‘Antonina’ yield depending on the elements of cultivation technology: ino culation with nitrogen-fixing and phosphate-solubilizing microorganisms and the use of foliar growth stimulants.Methods. Field, laboratory. The experimental scheme included inoculation of seeds with nitrogen-fixing microorganisms (Ryzogumin), application of phosphate-solubili zing microorganisms (Polimixobacteryn and Biophosphoryn) into the row zone, and foliar feeding with a growth stimulator (Alga 600).Results. The results of studies of the leaf area formation peculiarities and the structure of lentils yield depending on the influence of cultivation technology elements are given in the article. It was found that the maximum indicators of the leaf area were formed by lentils in the flowering phase, which on average in the experiment was at the level of 37.5 thousand m2/ha, and in the control variant – only 32.0 thousand m2/ha. By inoculating the seeds with Rhyzogumin, applying phosphate-solubilizing biopreparation and foliar feeding, we obtained the maximum parameters of the leaf surface of lentil plants in the experiment. Thus, in the variant of inoculation with Rhyzogumin, application of Biophosphoryn and treatment with Alga 600 lentil plants formed a leaf area of 40.3 thousand m2/ha. However, due to the use of the phosphate-solubilizing biopreparation Polimixobacteryn and Alga 600 on the background of seeds inoculation with Rhyzogumin, the leaf area was formed at the level of 39.9 thousand m2/ha.Conclusions. When the seeds were treated with nitrogen-fixing microorganisms (Rhyzogumin) and phosphate-solubilizing bacteria (Polimixobacteryn and Biophosphoryn), the yield of lentils increased significantly. Thus, in the experimental plots in the variants with Ryzogumin + Polimixobacteryn the yield was – 1.64 t/ha, and in the combination Ryzogumin + Polimixobacteryn + growth stimulator Alga 600 the yield of lentils was – 1.90 t/ha. Seed inoculation had a positive effect on plant height. The best results were obtained when the seeds were treated with Ryzogumin in combination with Biophosphorin and Polimixobacteryn – 44.5 and 44.1 cm, respectively. | Мета. Установити особливості формування площі листя та структури врожаю сочевиці ‘Антоніна’ залежно від елементів технології вирощування: інокуляції азотфіксувальними й фосфатмобілізувальними мікроорганізмами та застосування позакоренево стимуляторів росту. Методи. Польові, лабораторні. Схема досліду передбачала інокуляцію насіння азотфіксувальними мікроорганізмами (Ризогумін), унесення в зону рядка фосфатмобілізувальних мікроорганізмів (Поліміксобактерин і Біофосфорин) та позакореневе підживлення стимулятором росту (Альга 600).Результати. У статті наведено результати досліджень щодо вивчення особливостей формування площі листя та структури врожаю сочевиці залежно від впливу елементів технології. У результаті проведених досліджень визначено, що у фазі цвітіння рослин сочевиці утворювали максимальні показники площі листя, яка в середньому по досліду була на рівні 37,5 тис. м2/га, а от на контрольному варіанті – лише 32,0 тис. м2/га. За інокуляції насіння Ризогуміном та внесення фосфатмобілізувальних препаратів і позакореневого підживлення отримали максимальні параметри листкової поверхні рослин сочевиці в досліді. Зокрема, у варіанті інокуляції Ризогуміном, унесення Біофосфорину та оброблення Альга 600 рослини сочевиці формували площу листя 40,3 тис. м2/га. А от у разі застосування на фоні інокуляції насіння Ризогуміном фосфатмобілізувального препарату Поліміксобактерин та Альга 600 була сформована площа листя на рівні 39,9 тис. м2/га.Висновки. За оброблення насіння азотфіксувальними мікроорганізмами (Ризогумін) та фосфатмобілізувальними бактеріями (Поліміксобактерин та Біофосфорин) урожайність сочевиці суттєво збільшувалася. Зокрема, у варіанті застосування Ризогумін + Поліміксобактерин урожайність становила 1,64 т/га, Ризогумін + Поліміксобактерин + стимулятор росту Альга 600 – 1,90 т/га. Інокуляція насіння позитивно вплинула й на висоту рослин. Ліпші результати отримано за оброблення насіння Ризогуміном у поєднанні з Біофосфорином та Поліміксобактерином – 44,5 і 44,1 см відповідно.

However, due to the use of the phosphate-solubilizing biopreparation Polimixobacteryn and Alga 600 on the background of seeds inoculation with Rhyzogumin, the leaf area was formed at the level of 39.9 thousand m2/ha. Conclusions. When the seeds were treated with nitrogen-fixing microorganisms (Rhyzogumin) and phosphate-solubilizing bacteria (Polimixobacteryn and Biophosphoryn), the yield of lentils increased significantly. Мета. Виділити зразки пшениці твердої ярої з високим рівнем урожайності та за елементами структури врожаю для їх залучення як вихідного матеріалу в селекційні програми.Методи. Польові, статистичні.Результати. Упродовж  2016–2018 рр. досліджено 65 колекційних зразків пшениці твердої ярої різного еколого-географічного походження за показниками продуктивності. Зразки мали різний рівень урожайності залежно від умов року вирощування.  За розрахунками параметрів ступеня стабільності врожайності виявлено зразки, що за зміни погодних умов забезпечують її рівень із коефіцієнтом регресії, близьким до одиниці – ‘Омский изумруд’ (RUS), ‘Корона’, ‘Тома’, ‘Наурыз 6’ (KAZ), ‘Duraking’, ‘Candura’ (CAN), ‘Тера’, ‘Новація’ (UKR), що вказує на їхню приналежність до напівінтенсивного типу. Широкою екологічною реакцією відрізняються колекційні зразки пшениці твердої ярої, які за оптимальних погодних умов здатні забезпечувати значний приріст урожайності. До них належать  зразки з коефіцієнтом регресії більше одиниці – ‘МІП Райдужна’, ‘Гордеіформе 13-07’ (UKR), ‘Лан’, ‘Салаут’, ‘Ертол’ (KAZ), ‘Безенчукская 205’, ‘Лилек’ (RUS). Ці зразки можна охарактеризувати за адаптивними властивостями як інтенсивні, з вираженою реакцією на середовище. За роки досліджень озерненість колоса варіювала від 35,9 до 38,8 шт. Найсприятливішим для росту й розвитку рослин виявився 2016 р.: індекс умов становив 4,1, а середня озерненість колоса – 41,4 шт. Менш сприятливими виявилися 2017 і 2018 pp., тому мало місце від’ємне значення індексу умов року (lj = -5,1 та lj = 0,5 відповідно) за нижчої кількості зерен із колоса (32,2 та 38,2 шт. відповідно). За ознакою «маса 1000 зерен» виявлено зразки, які мають коефіцієнт регресії, близький до одиниці – ‘Корона’, ‘Рая’ (KAZ), ‘Лилек’, ‘Безенчукская 205’ (RUS), ‘МІП Райдужна’ (UKR). Маса зерна з колоса в колекційних зразків варіювала від 1,27 до 1,77 г. Виділено стабільні зразки – ‘Ертол’, ‘Салаут’, ‘Дамсинская янтарная’ (KAZ), ‘Лилек’ (RUS), ‘Новація’ (UKR), ‘Duraking’, ‘Candura’ (CAN), що мають перспективне значення в селекції пшениці ярої та можуть бути залучені до гібридизації.Висновки. Виділено стабільні та пластичні зразки з колекційного матеріалу пшениці твердої ярої за показниками продуктивності для залучення в наукові програми як вихідний матеріал. | Purpose. These are samples with regression coefficient more than one ‘MIP Raiduzhna’, ‘Hordeiforme 13-07’ (UKR), ‘Lan’, ‘Salaut’, ‘Ertol’ (KAZ), ‘Bezenchukskaya 205’, ‘Lilek’ (RUS). These samples can be characterized by their adaptive properties as intense ones, with a pronounced response to the environment. Over the years of the research, grain number per spike varied from 35.9 to 38.8 pcs. Year conditions in 2016 were the most favorable for plant growth and development, while index of conditions was 4.1, and the average grain number per spike was 41.4 pcs. Year conditions in 2017 and 2018 were less favorable for growth and development of durum spring wheat, and therefore there was a negative value of index of year conditions (lj = -5.1 and lj = 0.5, respectively) with less grain number per spike (32.2 and 38.2 pcs., respectively). According to the trait «1000 kernel weight», the samples were identified with regression coefficient close to one under fluctuations of weather conditions, i.e ‘Korona’, ‘Raya’ (KAZ), ‘Lilek’, ‘Bezenchukskaya 205’ (RUS), ‘MIP Raiduzhna’ (UKR). The grain weight per spike in the collection samples varied from 1.27 to 1.77 g. The stable samples ‘Ertol’, ‘Salaut’, ‘Damsinskaya yantarnaya’ (KAZ), ‘Lilek’ (RUS), ‘Novatsiia’ (UKR), ‘Duraking’, ‘Candura’ (CAN) promising in spring wheat breeding were identified and can be involved in hybridization.Conclusions. Мета. Суперсолодка кукурудза містить ген, експресія якого зумовлює підвищення концентрації цукру. Ідентифіковано гени ендосперму, що регулюють підвищення вмісту цукру і зменшення вмісту крохмалю; найефективнішими з них були shrunken2 (sh2), brittle1 (bt), sugary1 (su1) і sugary enhancer1 (se). Рецесивна мутація shrunken2 (sh2) забезпечує високий уміст цукрів у зерні молочно-воскової стиглості порівняно з іншими мутантними формами, що безпосередньо впливає на смакові якості sh2-гібридів, обумовлює широке використання цієї мутації в селекційній роботі і має найбільший комерційний потенціал. Основним завданням селекції є створення нового покоління високопродуктивних гібридів, яке залежить від наявності високоякісного вихідного селекційного матеріалу. Тому метою роботи було оцінити лінії суперсолодкої кукурудзи за морфо-біологічними ознаками, виділити ліпші лінії-донори генетичних ознак, створити високопродуктивні гібриди кукурудзи.Методи. Морфо-біологічні ознаки досліджених ліній оцінювали за Класифікатором-довідником виду Zea mays L. Комплексний аналіз зразків за господарсько-цінними ознаками проводили згідно з Методичними рекомендаціями для польового та лабораторного вивчення генетичних ресурсів кукурудзи. Уміст редукувальних цукрів у зерні досліджених ліній і гібридів кукурудзи визначали за методом Бертрана.Результати. Досліджено морфо-біологічні ознаки суперсолодкої кукурудзи. Істотні відмінності між дослідженими лініями спостережено за тривалістю вегетаційного періоду, кількістю насінин в одному ряді й кількістю рядів зерен у качані. Виділено лінії-джерела господарсько-цінних ознак для практичної селекції. Проведено схрещування і отримано 50 гібридних комбінацій, серед яких виділено 16, які характеризувалися кращими показниками господарських ознак.Висновки. У результаті аналізу основних морфо-біологічних ознак у гібридних комбінаціях цукрової кукурудзи з мутантним геном sh2 виділено джерела селекційно-цінних ознак. За тривалістю вегетаційного періоду всі лінії було розділено на три групи: ранні – 8 ліній, середні – 6 і пізні – 8 ліній. Установлено, що перспективними донорами продуктивності качана були лінії SH-621, SH-234 і SH-936, висоти рослин – SH-234 і SH-936, кількості рядів зерен – SH-234 і SH-113, довжини качана – SH-318 і SH-936. За оцінкою морфо-біологічних ознак виділено ліпші лінії, які були схрещені, отримано низку гібридів. Найкращі з них – ‘Матір Драконів F1’, ‘Юрмала F1’ і ‘Ларус F1’ – передано на державну реєстрацію. | Purpose. Super sweet corn contains a gene that, being expressed leads to an increase in the concentration of sugar. Endosperm genes that regulate the increase in sugar content and decrease in starch content were identified; the most effective of them were shrunken2 (sh2), brittle1 (bt), sugary1 (su1) and sugary enhancer1 (se). The recessive mutation of shrunken2 (sh2) provides a high content of sugars in the grain of milk-wax ripeness compared to other mutant forms that directly affects the taste of sh2-hybrids causes widespread use of this mutation in breeding and has the greatest commercial potential. The main task of breeding is to create a new generation of high-yielding hybrids; it depends on the availability of high-quality source breeding material. Therefore, the aim of our work was the assessment of morpho-biological traits of the super sweet corn lines, selection of the best donor lines of genetic traits, creating of high-yielding corn hybrids.Methods. Morpho-biological traits of the studied lines were evaluated according to the Classifier – handbook of Zea mays L. Comprehensive analysis of samples on economically valuable traits was carried out in accordance with the Methodical recommendations for field and laboratory study of genetic resources of corn. The content of reducing sugars in the grain of the studied corn lines and hybrids was determined by Bertrand method.Results. A study of morpho-biological traits of super sweet corn was carried out. Significant differences between the studied lines were observed in the vegetation period duration, the number of grains in one row and the number of grain rows in the cob. The lines-sources of economically valuable features that can be used for practical selection were identified. Crossing was carried out and 50 hybrid combinations were obtained; among them 16 hybrids cha­racterized by the best levels of economic characteristics were selected.Conclusions. As a result of the analysis of the main morpho-biological traits in hybrid combinations of super sweet corn with the mutant sh2 gene, the sources of selection-valuable traits were identified. According to the vegetation period, all lines were divided into three groups: early – 8 lines, middle – 6 and late – 8 ones. It was determined that promising donors of cob productivity were SH-621, SH-234 and SH-936 lines; signs of plant height – SH-234 and SH-936, number of grain rows – SH-234 and SH-113, cob lengths – SH-318 and SH-936. According to the results of studies of morpho-biological traits, the best lines were identified. They were crossed with other lines of super sweet corn and hybrids were obtained. The three best of them, ‘Matir Drakoniv F1’, ‘Yurmala F1’ and ‘Larus F1’, were submitted for state registration.

Purpose. Evaluate the introduced samples of soft winter wheat from the international nursery Common Bunt-Resistant Nursery (CBUNT-RES) of different ecological and geographical origin in the southern part of the Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine according to a set of productivity indicators in order to define the most valuable samples and describe them. Methods. During 2016–2019 on the base of Ustymivka Experimental Station for Plant Production of the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS the authors studied, evaluated and described 75 new soft winter wheat samples of various eco-geographical origins by productivity traits. In the field and laboratory conditions, indicators of yield and productivi­ty were determined: 1000 grains weight, plant height and ear length, the number of spikelets and grains in the ear, weight of ear and grain and early-ripening. Results. Plant material with increased parameters of economic and biological characters was identified. During studies, it was found that ‘F08347G8’, ‘F00628G34-1’ (Romania), ‘91-142A61/KATIA1//GRISET-4’, ‘SAULESKU#44/TR810200//GRISET-4’, ‘ATTILA/BABAX//PASTOR/4/…’ (IU067591) (Turkey), ‘INTENSIVNAYA//PBW343*2/TUKURU’, ‘SANZAR-8/KKTS’ (Mexico) were the high-yielding varieties. The samples of soft winter wheat as ‘F08347G8’, ‘F00628G34-1’ (Romania), ‘INTENSIVNAYA//PBW343*2/…’ (IU067637) (Mexico), ‘ATAY/GALVEZ87/6/TAST/…’ (IU067587), ‘DE9/MERCAN-2’, ‘KRASNODAR/FRTL/6…’ (IU067595), ‘SAULESKU#44/TR810200//GRISET-4’, ‘GANSU-1/3/AUSGS50AT34/…’ (IU067598), ‘ORKINOS-1*2/3/AUS…’ (IU067608), ‘KAMBARA1/ZANDER-17’ , ‘TAM200/KAUZ/4/CHAM6//…’ (IU067612) (Turkey) contained a large grain weight (more than 5.0 g), plant productivity in these samples was rather high due to increased amount of grains and the thousand kernel weight. Conclusions. The introduced soft winter wheat samples of various eco-geographical origins were adapted to the Southern Forest-Steppe and can be recommended as a source material in breeding to increasing productive capacity.

Purpose. Evaluate the introduced samples of soft winter wheat from the international nursery Common Bunt-Resistant Nursery (CBUNT-RES) of different ecological and geographical origin in the southern part of the Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine according to a set of productivity indicators in order to define the most valuable samples and describe them. Methods. During 2016–2019 on the base of Ustymivka Experimental Station for Plant Production of the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS the authors studied, evaluated and described 75 new soft winter wheat samples of various eco-geographical origins by productivity traits. In the field and laboratory conditions, indicators of yield and productivi­ty were determined: 1000 grains weight, plant height and ear length, the number of spikelets and grains in the ear, weight of ear and grain and early-ripening. Results. Plant material with increased parameters of economic and biological characters was identified. To analyze the divergence of early maturing source material of corn Zea mays L. in heterosis breeding for the genetic base formation at the State Institution the Institute of Grain Crops of the NAAS of Ukraine. Methods. Field (comprehensive assessment of morphobiological and economically valuable characteristics of the source material and maize hybrids) individual selection, cumulative and recurrent selection, backross and testcrosses bree­ding methods; laboratory; analysis and synthesis; statistical. Results. The results of research on the analysis of the divergence of early maturing corn source material in the conditions of the Steppe of Ukraine has become a developed harmonized working collection of corn breeding samples adapted to the stressful conditions of this region. The gradual cyclical improvement of the lines made it possible to form the core of the genetic diversity of FAO 150–290 early maturing specimens of the southern ecotype, which are competitive in heterosis breeding. The complexity of breeding for early maturity in the steppe conditions is due to the lack of material adapted to the stress factors of the South of Ukraine. The available early maturing lines of the world collection F2, F7, Ер1, Ма21, Ма23, Со125, Со255, См7, PLS61, S72, etc., were distinguished by high cold resistance, good starting plant development, intensive accumulation of dry matter during ripening, but not adapted to the deficiency of moisture in the soil and high summer temperatures. According to the results of the experiment, it was revealed that, in terms of breeding, lines of Lancaster plasma (DK427 and DK633) were the most plastic, due to which a number of new mid-early lines were obtained, for example DK2/427, DK267, DK266/417, DK633/266, DK296, etc., which were included in the registered hybrids. Formation of the genetic base of early maturing maize source material for heterosis breeding and systematization accor­ding to different breeding characteristics provided a balance of samples of alternative components, which will be further used to model heterosis hybrids in the early maturing group. Conclusions. The updated basic collection of lines is represented by the samples of plasma Iodent: DK744SVZM, DK216SVZM, DK4173SVZM, DK235zS, DK257zM, SV, DK365SVZM, DK777ZMSV, DK733-7zM,SV, DK315SVZM; Lancaster: DK296zS,VM, DK633/266zS,VM, DK2965ZSZM, DK2953 ZSZM, DK3023 ZSZM, DK236zS,ZM; Raid (SSS): DK232MV, DK2323MV, DK239MV; Mixed: DK253ZSZM, DK273MV, DK272zS, DK281SV, DK233zM,SV, DK959MV, DK9527 ZSZM, DK247MV, DK2442MV, which is the basis of the genetic diversity of early ripening corn samples included in the State register of plant varie­ties suitable for dissemination in Ukraine.
