Purpose. To study the features of the productivity formation of broccoli hybrids depending on the methods of application of “5 element” nanofertilizer in the conditions of the Western Forest-Steppe of Ukraine.Methods. Field, laboratory, statistical.Results. With the introduction of “5 element” nanofertilizer, the head diameter of the ‘Batavia F1’ hybrid increased from 16.6 (var. 2) to 18.3 cm (var. 8), while in the control this indicator was 15.9 cm. The biggest head diameter in the hybrid ‘Orantes F1’ 18.9 and 18.7 cm was noted with foliar feeding with “5 element” nanofertilizer in the phase of 4–6 leaves + beginning of head formation + 10–12 days after the beginning of head formation and in the phase of the beginning of head formation + 10–12 days after the beginning of head formation. Accordingly, in the aforementioned variants, the head mass was 901 and 863 g, which is higher than the control (without treatment) by 166 and 128 g, or 22.3 and 17.4%.The highest yield of the ‘Batavia F1’ hybrid was obtained in 8 and 7 variants of the experiment – 33.5 and 31.9 t/ha, respectively, the yield increase was 5.2 and 3.6 t/ha, or 18.4 and 12.7%. In the hybrid ‘Orantes F1’ the highest yield (37.1 t/ha) was recorded when applying the “5 element” nanofertilizer in the 8th variant of the experiment, which is 6.6 t/ha higher than the control, or 21.6%. Compared to the ‘Batavia F1’ hybrid, the yield in this variant of the ‘Orantes F1’ hybrid was 3.6 t/ha, or 9.7%. The diameter and weight of the head, as well as the yield of the hybrid ‘Orantes F1’ were larger compared to the hybrid ‘Batavia F1’, due to its biological characteristics. A strong correlation (r = 0.97 and 0.96) was revealed between the yield and the diameter of the broccoli head in the ‘Batavia F1’ and ‘Orantes F1’ hybrids. The quality indicators of broccoli (dry matter, sum of sugars and vitamin C) in the ‘Orantes F1’ hybrid were higher compared to the ‘Batavia F1’ hybrid. A tendency towards a decrease in the concentration of nitrates in the heads of broccoli with an increase in the number of treatments with nanofertilizer “5 element” was revealed. The concentration of nitrates in the ‘Orantes F1’ hybrid was lower in all variants of the experiment in comparison with the ‘Batavia F1’ hybrid. The concentration of nitrates in the heads of broccoli in all variants of the experiment did not exceed TLV (400 mg/kg wet weight).Conclusions. With an increase in the number of foliar treatments with “5 element” nanofertilizer, the yield increased and the quality of broccoli hybrids improved. It was revealed that the yield of the ‘Orantes F1’ hybrid in all variants of the experiment was higher in comparison with the ‘Batavia F1’ hybrid. Найвищу врожайність капусти броколі гібрида ‘Batavia F1’ одержано у 8 та 7 варіантах досліду – 33,5 та 31,9 т/га відповідно, приріст урожаю становив відповідно 5,2 та 3,6 т/га, або 18,4 та 12,7%. У гібрида ‘Orantes F1’ найбільшу врожайність (37,1 т/га) відзначено за внесення нанодобрива «5 еlement» у 8 варіанті досліду, що вище за контроль на 6,6 т/га, або 21,6%. Порівняно з гібридом ‘Batavia F1’ урожайність на цьому варіанті у гібрида ‘Orantes F1’ була більшою на 3,6 т/га, або 9,7%. Діаметр та маса головки, а також урожайність у гібрида ‘Orantes F1’ були більшими, порівняно з гібридом ‘Batavia F1’, що зумовлено його біологічними особливостями. Виявлено сильний кореляційний зв’язок (r = 0,97 та 0,96) між урожайністю та діаметром головки капусти броколі в гібридів ‘Batavia F1’ та ‘Orantes F1’. Якісні показники капусти броколі (суха речовина, сума цукрів та вітамін С) у гібрида ‘Orantes F1’ були вищими порівняно з гібридом ‘Batavia F1’. Виявлено тенденцію до зменшення концентрації нітратів у головках капусти броколі зі збільшенням кількості обробок нанодобривом «5 еlement». Концентрація нітратів у гібрида ‘Orantes F1’ була меншою в усіх варіантах досліду, порівняно з гібридом ‘Batavia F1’. Уміст нітратного азоту в головках капусти броколі в усіх варіантах досліду не перевищував ГДК (400 мг/кг сирої маси).Висновки. Зі збільшенням кількості позакореневих обробок нанодобривом «5 еlement» підвищувалась урожайність та поліпшувалася якість продукції гібридів капусти броколі. Виявлено, що врожайність гібрида ‘Orantes F1’ у всіх варіантах досліду була  більша, порівняно з гібридом ‘Batavia F1’. За внесення нанодобрива «5 еlement» у три етапи – позакореневе підживлення у фазі 4–6 листків + початок формування головки + через 10–12 діб після початку формування головок –  одержали найбільшу врожайність капусти броколі в гібрида ‘Orantes F1’ – 37,1 т/га, приріст до контролю (без добрив) становив 6,6 т/га, або 21,6%. У гібрида ‘Batavia F1’ урожайність становила 33,5 т/га, приріст до контролю – 5,2 т/га, або 18,4%.

Purpose. To determine the efficiency of growing soybean varieties ‘Ustia’, ‘Cordoba’, ‘Estafeta’ depending on the influence of microfertilizers and growth regulators.Methods. Field, laboratory.Results. The article presents the results of studying the efficiency of growing different varieties of soybeans. It was found that in the cultivar ‘Ustia’ the best values of assimilation of photosynthetically active radiation were obtained for the applications of Yara Vita Mono Molitrak in the budding phase (0.25 l/ha) with growth regulator Radostym, and Yara Vita Mono Molitrak in the budding phase (0.25 l/ha) + in the flowering phase (0.25 l/ha) with two studied growth regulators. Similar patterns of the utilization rate of photosynthetic radiation were obtained for the ‘Cordoba’ and ‘Estafeta’ varieties. According to the indicators of the energy balance, the complex use of micronutrient fertilizers and growth regulators in any case pays off with an increase in the yield, which means it is energetically expedient. The maximum coefficients of energy efficiency in the ‘Ustia’, ‘Cordoba’ and ‘Estafeta’ varieties were obtained with the introduction of micronutrient fertilizers Yara Vita Mono Molitrak in the budding phase (0.25 l/ha) + in the flowering phase (0.25 l/ha) and growth regulators Biosyl and Radostym. However, the use of growth regulators separately does not always provide an economic return on investment. In particular, in the variant without Yara Vita Mono Molitrak microfertilizer, the ‘Cordoba’ variety received 28 873 UAH/ha of net profit, while the introduction of growth regulators did not pay off, since there was no significant increase in the yield, and with the use of growth regulators Biosyl and Radostym net profit was within 28824–29179 UAH/ha. In general, the use of micronutrient fertilizer Yara Vita Mono Molitrak with growth regulators Radostim and Biosyl ensu­red guaranteed yield increase.Conclusions. When gro­wing ‘Ustia’, ‘Cordoba’ and ‘Estafeta’ varieties from an energy point of view, it is better to use Yara Vita Mono Molitrak microfertilizer in the budding phase (0.25 l/ha) with the growth regulator Radostym. Визначити ефективність вирощування сортів сої ‘Устя’, ‘Кордоба’, ‘Естафета’ залежно від впливу мікродобрив та регуляторів росту. Методи. Польові, лабораторні.Результати. У статті наведено результати вивчення ефективності вирощування різних сортів сої. Установлено, що в сорту ‘Устя’ кращі значення засвоєння фотосинтетично активної радіації отримано для варіантів застосування Yara Vita Моно Молітрак у фазі бутонізації (0,25 л/га) з регулятором росту Радостим, та Yara Vita Моно Молітрак у фазі бутонізації (0,25 л/га) + у фазі цвітіння (0,25 л/га) з обома досліджуваними регуляторами росту. Аналогічні закономірності коефіцієнту використання фотосинтетичної радіації були отримані й для сортів ‘Кордоба’ та ‘Естафета’. Згідно з показниками енергетичного балансу, комплексне застосування мікродобрив та регуляторів росту в будь-якому разі окупається приростом урожаю, а отже є енергетично доцільним. Максимальні коефіцієнти енергетичної ефективності в сортів ‘Устя’, ‘Кордоба’ та ‘Естафета’ отримано за внесення мікродобрива Yara Vita Моно Молітрак у фазі бутонізації (0,25 л/га) + у фазі цвітіння (0,25 л/га) та регуляторів росту: Біосил та Радостим. А от застосування регуляторів росту окремо не завжди дає змогу отримати економічну окупність. Зокрема, у варіанті без мікродобрива Yara Vita Моно Молітрак у сорту ‘Кордоба’ отримано 28873 грн/га чистого прибутку, тоді як внесення регуляторів росту не окупилось, оскільки не було значного приросту врожаю, а за застосування регуляторів росту Біосил та Радостим чистий прибуток був у межах 28824–29179 грн/га. Загалом застосування мікродобрива Yara Vita Моно Молітрак з регуляторами росту Радостим та Біосил забезпечувало гарантованого приросту врожаю.Висновки. За вирощування сої ‘Устя’, ‘Кордоба’ та ‘Естафета’ з енергетичного пог­ляду ліпше застосовувати мікродобриво Yara Vita Моно Молітрак у фазі бутонізації (0,25 л/га) з регулятором росту Радостим. За таких умов отримано коефіцієнт енергетичної ефективності становив 3,24; 3,41 і 3,45, а прибуток 31503, 34072 і 34649 грн/га відповідно.

Purpose. Evaluate the introduced samples of soft winter wheat from the international nursery Common Bunt-Resistant Nursery (CBUNT-RES) of different ecological and geographical origin in the southern part of the Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine according to a set of productivity indicators in order to define the most valuable samples and describe them.Methods. During 2016–2019 on the base of Ustymivka Experimental Station for Plant Production of the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS the authors studied, evaluated and described 75 new soft winter wheat samples of various eco-geographical origins by productivity traits. In the field and laboratory conditions, indicators of yield and productivi­ty were determined: 1000 grains weight, plant height and ear length, the number of spikelets and grains in the ear, weight of ear and grain and early-ripening.Results. Plant material with increased parameters of economic and biological characters was identified. During studies, it was found that ‘F08347G8’, ‘F00628G34-1’ (Romania), ‘91-142A61/KATIA1//GRISET-4’, ‘SAULESKU#44/TR810200//GRISET-4’, ‘ATTILA/BABAX//PASTOR/4/…’ (IU067591) (Turkey), ‘INTENSIVNAYA//PBW343*2/TUKURU’, ‘SANZAR-8/KKTS’ (Mexico) were the high-yielding varieties. The samples of soft winter wheat as ‘F08347G8’, ‘F00628G34-1’ (Romania), ‘INTENSIVNAYA//PBW343*2/…’ (IU067637) (Mexico), ‘ATAY/GALVEZ87/6/TAST/…’ (IU067587), ‘DE9/MERCAN-2’, ‘KRASNODAR/FRTL/6…’ (IU067595), ‘SAULESKU#44/TR810200//GRISET-4’, ‘GANSU-1/3/AUSGS50AT34/…’ (IU067598), ‘ORKINOS-1*2/3/AUS…’ (IU067608), ‘KAMBARA1/ZANDER-17’ , ‘TAM200/KAUZ/4/CHAM6//…’ (IU067612) (Turkey) contained a large grain weight (more than 5.0 g), plant productivity in these samples was rather high due to increased amount of grains and the thousand kernel weight.Conclusions. The introduced soft winter wheat samples of various eco-geographical origins were adapted to the Southern Forest-Steppe and can be recommended as a source material in breeding to increasing productive capacity. | Мета. Оцінити інтродуковані зразки пшениці м’якої озимої різного еколого-географічного походження з міжнародного розсадника Common Bunt-Resistant Nursery (CBUNT-RES) в умовах південної частини Лісостепу України за комплексом показників продуктивності для виділення найцінніших зразків та скласти їхній опис.Методи. Упродовж 2016–2019 рр. в умовах Устимівської дослідної станції рослинництва Інституту рослинництва ім. В. Я. Юр’єва НААН за ознаками продуктивності досліджено, оцінено та описано 75 нових зразків пшениці м’якої озимої різного еколого-географічного походження.  У польових і лабораторних умовах визначено такі показники врожайності й продуктивності, як маса 1000 зерен, висота рослин та довжина колоса, кількість колосків і зерен у колосі, маса колоса та зерна з нього, а також скоростиглість зразків.Результати. Виділено матеріал, який має підвищені параметри господарських та біологічних ознак. Інтродуковані зразки пшениці м’якої озимої різного еколого-географічного походження, виділені за комплексом цінних ознак, можна рекомендувати як вихідний матеріал у селекції на підвищення продуктивного потенціалу культури в умовах Південного Лісостепу України.

Purpose. The scheme of the experiment included six strains of oyster mushrooms belonging to two species: Pleurotus ostreatus (5 strains: 2301, Z, 2316, 2456, 431) and P. pulmonarius (2314). Laboratory, laboratory-industrial and statistical methods are used.Results. The dynamics of agrochemical parameters of substrates obtained by the method of aerobic fermentation in the high layer proved their optimality according to the main criteria and compliance to regulatory documentation. The biological efficiency of the strains was in the range of 40–78.9%. The highest weight of clusters was found in the “summer” strain 431 (430.7 g). The highest weight of the fruiting body was determined for the strain 2301 (15.2 g), the lowest – for the 2456 (3.3 g).Conclusions. The values of biological efficiency of strains was determined. The highest average values for the first flush of fruiting had strains 2316 (78.9%) from the “winter” group (A) and 431 (78.4%) from the “summer” group  (B). According to the results of statistical analysis, significant differences were revealed between the studied strains in the main morphological indicators of clusters. It was found that the mass of clusters of «winter» cultivars is much less dependent on the strain type (220.8–273.4 g) than that of «summer» cultivars (83.4–430.7 g). The index of the asymmetry coefficient of the cluster, which can be useful for calculating the required container sizes was proposed. It was determined that the morphological features of fruiting bodies had significant differences in all studied parameters.  In particular, the A group strains differed in size and weight. It was proposed the index of weight loss of the crop coefficient, which shows the ratio between the cap and stipe of the fruiting body and make it possible to predict the amount of mushroom raw material that will be sold in the form of caps, and the amount of raw material that can be processed into minced mushroom, powder and others. The best coefficient was obtained for the fruiting bodies of strain 2314 (0.87), and the worst – for 2456 (0.59), which, accordingly, is not recommended for sale by individual fruiting bodies. It was found that the fruiting bodies of high-yielding strains 2316 and 431 had a number of organoleptic defects. | Мета. Провести морфологічну та органолептичну оцінку штамів гливи для добору асортименту високопродуктивних і цінних за споживчими властивостями культиварів для зимового й літнього культивування та придатності до реалізації у свіжому або переробленому вигляді.Методи. Схема досліду включає 6 штамів гливи, що належать до двох видів: Pleurotus ostreatus (5 штамів: 2301, Z, 2316, 2456, 431) і Pleurotus pulmonarius (2314). Використано лабораторний, лабораторно-виробничий та статистичний методи досліджень.Результати. Динаміка агрохімічних показників субстратів, отриманих методом аеробної ферментації у високому шарі, засвідчила їхню оптимальність за основними критеріями та відповідність нормативній документації. Біологічна ефективність штамів знаходилася в інтервалі 40–78,9%. Найбільшу масу зростків установлено в «літнього» штаму 431 (430,7 г). Найбільшу масу плодового тіла визначено для штаму 2301 (15,2 г), найменшу – для 2456 (3,3 г).Висновки. Визначено показники біологічної ефективності штамів. Найвищі середні значення за першою хвилею плодоношення мали штами 2316 (78,9%) із групи «зимових» (А) і 431 (78,4%) із групи «літніх» (В). За результатами статистичного аналізу встановлено суттєві відмінності між досліджуваними штамами за основними морфологічними показниками зростків. Виявлено, що маса зростків «зимових» культиварів значно менше залежить від штамової приналежності (220,8–273,4 г), ніж «літніх» (83,4–430,7 г). Запропоновано показник коефіцієнт асиметрії зростка, який може бути корисним для розрахунку необхідних розмірів тари. Виявлено, що морфологічні ознаки плодових тіл мали суттєві відмінності за всіма дослідженими параметрами. Зокрема, штами групи А відрізнялися більшими розмірами й масою. Запропоновано показник – коефіцієнт утрати маси врожаю, який показує співвідношення між шапинкою й ніжкою плодового тіла та дає змогу спрогнозувати кількість грибної сировини, яку буде реалізовано у вигляді шапинок, та кількість сировини, яку можна переробити у грибний фарш, порошок та ін. Найкращий коефіцієнт отримано для плодових тіл штаму 2314 (0,87), а найгірший – 2456 (0,59), який, відповідно, не рекомендуємо до реалізації окремими плодовими тілами. Установлено, що плодові тіла високопродуктивних штамів 2316 і 431 мали низку органолептичних недоліків.

To evaluate Tartary buckwheat variety ‘Kalyna’ according to morphological, productive and quality indicators in the conditions of the Research Center “State Agra­rian and Engineering University in Podilia”. Methods. The studies were carried out in the field crop rotation of the Research Center “Podillia” of the State Agrarian and Engi­neering University in Podilia (SAEU) in 2015–2020. The soil cover of the experimental field is represented mainly by low-humus, weakly leached soils. Experiment setting, material evaluation, analysis of plants, yield and grain quality were carried out in accordance with the generally accepted methods of state variety testing. An assessment of the Tartary buckwheat variety ‘Kalyna’ was carried out in comparison with the common buckwheat variety ‘Victoriia’. Results. The growing season duration of Tartary buckwheat variety ‘Kalyna’ was 87 days (38 days vegetative and 49 days gene­rative). In the studied variety, a larger number of the 1st order branches up to 5.5 pcs was observed. The number of leaves on the plant was 22–28 pcs./plants. In the studied variety, more than 50% of the grains were located on the main stem and the first order branches, while in common buckwheat this indicator was only 30%. Productivity was 2,28 t/ha, the number of grains in inflorescences was 4,4 grains, in common buckwheat – 0,72 t/ha, and 2.2 grains/inflorescence, respectively. The thousand kernel weight in Tartary buckwheat variety ‘Kalyna’ is 10.2 g less than in common buckwheat variety ‘Victoriia’ and is 17.4 g, with hulls – 19.5%, which is 3.2% less then in common buckwheat variety.Assessment of Tartary buckwheat variety ‘Kalyna’ for resistance to the effects of bio- and abiotic factors indicates that it was at the level of common buckwheat variety ‘Victoriia’.In terms of resistance to abiotic factors, ‘Kalyna’ variety is characterized by high resistance to spontaneous fallof grain (5 scores) and has simultaneous grain ripening (5 scores). Conclusions.The morphological and economic-biological indicators of Tartary buckwheat variety ‘Kalyna’ are significantly higher than the common buckwheat varie­ty ‘Victoriia’. It is recommended to grow Tartary buckwheat variety ‘Kalyna’ as a valuable cereal crop in the Western Forest-Steppe zone. | Мета. Оцінити сорт гречки татарської ‘Калина’ за морфологічними, урожайними та якісними показниками в умовах Лісостепу Західного.Методи. Дослідження проводили в польовій сівозміні Науково-дослідного центру «Поділля» Подільського державного аграрно-технічного університету (НДЦ «Поділля» ПДАТУ) упродовж 2015–2020 рр. Ґрунтовий покрив дослідного поля – чорнозем малогумусний слабковилугуваний. Закладання дослідів, оцінку матеріалу, аналіз рослин, урожаю та якості зерна проводили відповідно до методик державного сортовипробування. Сорт гречки татарської ‘Калина’ оцінювали порівняно із сортом гречки їстівної ‘Вікторія’.Результати. Тривалість вегетаційного періоду гречки татарської сорту ‘Калина’ становила 87 діб (вегетативний період – 38 діб, генеративний – 49 діб). У досліджуваного сорту спостерігали більшу кількість гілок 1-го порядку (до 5,5 шт.) та листків на рослині (22–28 шт.). Понад 50% зерен розміщено на головному стеблі й гілках першого порядку, тоді як у гречки їстівної – лише 30%. Урожайність сорту ‘Калина’ становить 2,28 т/га, озерненість суцвіть – 4,4 зерен, що перевищує показники гречки їстівної на 0,72 т/га і 2,2 зерен/суцвіття відповідно. Маса 1000 зерен у сорту гречки татарської ‘Калина’ на 10,2 г менше сорту гречки їстівної ‘Вікторія’ і становить 17,4 г, плівчастість – 19,5%, що менше на 3,2%. Оцінка сорту гречки татарської ‘Калина’ на стійкість до впливу біо- та абіотичних чинників свідчить про те, що вона була на рівні сорту гречки їстівної ‘Вікторія’. За стійкістю до абіотичних чинників сорт ‘Калина’ характеризується вищою стійкістю до осипання плодів (5 балів) і має високу дружність достигання плодів (5 балів).Висновки. Морфологічні та господарсько-біологічні показники сорту гречки татарської ‘Калина’ суттєво вищі сорту гречки їстівної ‘Вікторія’. В умовах Лісостепу Західного рекомендується вирощувати сорт гречки татарської ‘Калина’ як цінну круп’яну культуру.

Purpose. Identifying the features of the seasonal growth rhythm, development of the plants, morphological and biological differences in monoecious introduced and domestic varieties of Cannabis sativa L. in the North-east region of Ukraine.Methods. The research was conducted from 2014 till 2019. The following research methods were employed: field (phenological observations, sampling for laboratory analysis), microscopic (study of the morphological structure of glandular and cystolithic hairs on vegetative and generative organs, determination of the size and density of hair formation), laboratory and analytical (determination of the content of cannabinoid substances by thin layer and gas-liquid chromatography), biomorphological me­thods (analysis of morphological characteristics of plants). Chemical analysis for the content of cannabinoid substan­ces was carried out in the laboratory of the breeding and seed production department of the Institute of Bast Crops of the NAAS of Ukraine (Glukhiv, 2014–2019). The content of neutral substances [cannabinol (CBN), cannabidiol (CBD), tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)] and acids (CBDA, THCA) was determined by using a thin layer chromatography (TLC) and gas-liquid chromatography (GLC) methods. For the study, 11 monoecious varieties of C. sativa: ‘YuSO 1’, ‘YuSO 31’, ‘Hliana’, ‘Viktoriia’, ‘Hlesiia’, ‘Hlukhivskyi 46’, ‘Hlukhivski 51’, ‘Zoloto­niski 15’ and 3 introduced varieties: ‘Fedora 17’, ‘Felina 32’, ‘Futura 77’ (France) which differed among themselves in morphological, biological, genetic, ecological-geographical and economically valuable characteristics were selected.Results. Biological and morphological characteristics of modern monoecious varieties of C. sativa were investigated depending on the ecological and geographical zones of origin, conditions of the growing season and the stage of ontogenesis. The functional interdependence between the formation of specialized excretory structures and the content of cannabinoid substances in plants of different varieties of C. sa­tiva  was revealed. The following promising varieties of C. sativa in a ration of ((THC + CBN) ≤ CBD) point the possibility to use them as the source material for creating the medicinal varie­ties of plants with a high content of CBD.Conclusions. Nowadays C. sativa is the main source of phyto material for industrial production of natural CBD. In recent years, high-yielding varieties of C. sativa have been created, which, together with high commercially valuable traits, did not contain psychoactive THC and had an insignificant amount of CBD. Установити особливості сезонного ритму росту й розвитку рослин та морфобіологічні відмітності в однодом­них вітчизняних та інтродукованих сортів Cannabis sativa L. в умовах Північного Сходу України.Методи. Дослідження проводили впродовж 2014–2019 рр. Застосовували польові (фенологічні спостереження, добір зразків для лабораторного аналізу), мікроскопічні (дослідження морфологічної будови залозистих і цистолітових волосків на вегетативних та генеративних органах, визначення розміру й густоти формування волосків), лабораторно-аналітичні (визначення вмісту канабіноїдних речовин методами тонкошарової та газорідинної хроматографії) та біоморфологічні методи (аналіз морфологічних ознак рослин). Хімічний аналіз на вміст канабіноїдних речовин проводили в лабораторії відділу селекції та насінництва Інституту луб’яних культур НААН України (м. Глухів, 2014–2019 рр.). Уміст нейтральних речовин [канабінол – КБН, канабідіол – КБД та тетрагідроканабінол – ТГК і кислот (канабідіолової та тетрагідроканабінолової)] визначали з використанням методів тонкошарової та газорідинної хроматографії. Досліджували 11 однодомних сортів C. sativa, які різнилися за морфологічними, біологічними, генетичними, еколого-географічними і господарсько-цінними ознаками: ‘ЮСО 1’, ‘ЮСО 31’, ‘Гляна’, ‘Вікторія’, ‘Глесія’, ‘Глухівський 46’, ‘Глухівські 51’, ‘Золотоніські 15’, а також інтродуковані ‘Fedora 17’, ‘Felina 32’, ‘Futura 77’ (країна походження – Франція).Результати. Досліджено морфобіологічні особливості рослин сучасних однодомних сортів C. sativa залежно від еколого-географічних зон походження, умов вегетаційного періоду та етапу онтогенезу. Установлено функціональну взаємозалежність між формуванням спеціалізованих видільних структур та вмістом канабіноїдних речовин у рослин різних сортів культури. Виокремлено перспективні сорти C. sativa за співвідношенням [(ТГК + КБН) ≤ КБД], що свідчить про можливість використання їх як вихідного матеріалу для створення сортів з підвищеним умістом КБД.Висновки. Сьогодні рослини C. sativa є основною фітосировиною для отримання в промислових масштабах природного КБД. За останні роки створено високоврожайні сорти культури, які характеризуються не тільки високими господарсько-цінними ознаками, але й не містять психоактивного ТГК та мають незначну кількість КБД. Установлено особливості сезонного ритму росту й розвитку рослин та морфобіологічні відмітності сучасних однодомних вітчизняних та інтродукованих сортів C. sativa в умовах Північного Сходу України. Виявлено низький коефіцієнт кореляції між умістом нейтральних речовин та кислот у сортів, які характеризуються невисоким умістом канабіноїдних сполук. За розробленою власною класифікацією (ТГК + КБН) : КБД визначено сорти з переважальним умістом КБД – ‘Глухівський 46’, ‘Золотоніські 15’, ‘Гляна’, які мають значну лікарську цінність.

Purpose. Identifying the features of the seasonal growth rhythm, development of the plants, morphological and biological differences in monoecious introduced and domestic varieties of Cannabis sativa L. in the North-east region of Ukraine. Methods. The research was conducted from 2014 till 2019. To analyze the divergence of early maturing source material of corn Zea mays L. in heterosis breeding for the genetic base formation at the State Institution the Institute of Grain Crops of the NAAS of Ukraine.Methods. Field (comprehensive assessment of morphobiological and economically valuable characteristics of the source material and maize hybrids) individual selection, cumulative and recurrent selection, backross and testcrosses bree­ding methods; laboratory; analysis and synthesis; statistical.Results. The results of research on the analysis of the divergence of early maturing corn source material in the conditions of the Steppe of Ukraine has become a developed harmonized working collection of corn breeding samples adapted to the stressful conditions of this region. The gradual cyclical improvement of the lines made it possible to form the core of the genetic diversity of FAO 150–290 early maturing specimens of the southern ecotype, which are competitive in heterosis breeding. The complexity of breeding for early maturity in the steppe conditions is due to the lack of material adapted to the stress factors of the South of Ukraine. The available early maturing lines of the world collection F2, F7, Ер1, Ма21, Ма23, Со125, Со255, См7, PLS61, S72, etc., were distinguished by high cold resistance, good starting plant development, intensive accumulation of dry matter during ripening, but not adapted to the deficiency of moisture in the soil and high summer temperatures. According to the results of the experiment, it was revealed that, in terms of breeding, lines of Lancaster plasma (DK427 and DK633) were the most plastic, due to which a number of new mid-early lines were obtained, for example DK2/427, DK267, DK266/417, DK633/266, DK296, etc., which were included in the registered hybrids. Formation of the genetic base of early maturing maize source material for heterosis breeding and systematization accor­ding to different breeding characteristics provided a balance of samples of alternative components, which will be further used to model heterosis hybrids in the early maturing group.Conclusions. Проаналізувати дивергенцію скоростиглого вихідного матеріалу кукурудзи звичайної Zea mays L. у гетерозисній селекції для формування генетичної бази в Державній установі Інститут зернових культур НААН.Методи. Польовий (комплексне оцінювання морфобіологічних і господарсько-цінних характеристик вихідного матеріалу й гібридів кукурудзи); індивідуальний добір, кумулятивна та рекурентна селекція, методи бекросу, тесткросу; лабораторний; аналіз та синтез; статистичний.Результати. Результатами досліджень з аналізу дивергенції скоростиглого вихідного матеріалу кукурудзи звичайної в умовах Степу України стала розвинута гармонізована робоча колекція селекційних зразків кукурудзи, адаптованих до стресових умов цього регіону. Поступові циклічні вдосконалення ліній дали змогу сформувати ядро генетичного різноманіття скоростиглих зразків ФАО 150–290 південного екотипу, конкурентних у гетерозисній селекції. Складність селекції на скоростиглість в умовах Степу зумовлена відсутністю матеріалу, адаптованого до стресових чинників Півдня України. Наявні ранньостиглі лінії світової колекції F2, F7, Ер1, Ма21, Ма23, Со125, Со255, См7, PLS61, S72 та ін., відрізнялися високою холодостійкістю, добрим стартовим розвитком рослин, інтенсивним накопиченням сухої речовини при достиганні, але зовсім не адаптовані до дефіциту вологи в ґрунті та високих літніх температур повітря. За результатами експерименту виявлено, що в селекційному плані найпластичнішими були лінії плазми Ланкастер (ДК427 та ДК633), завдяки чому отримано цілу низку нових середньоранніх ліній, як-от ДК2/427, ДК267, ДК266/417, ДК633/266, ДК296 та ін., які ввійшли до складу зареєстрованих гібридів. Формування генетичної бази скоростиглого вихідного матеріалу кукурудзи для гетерозисної селекції та систематизація за різними селекційними ознаками забезпечило збалансування зразків альтернативних компонентів, які далі будуть використані для моделювання гетерозисних гібридів у скоростиглій групі.Висновки. Purpose. Develop a simplified method for estimating the color of flour and pasta using Adobe Photo Shop® software.Methods. The research material was grain of varieties and selection lines of wheat species Triticum durum, T. dicoccum, T. timopheevii bred in the Рlant Production Institute nd. a. V. Ya. Yuryev and samples of the National Center for Genetic Resources of Plants of Ukraine, 2018–2020 harvest. Batch of flour and pieces of dough were scanned using EPSON Scanner 010 F. Color was evaluated using Adobe PhotoShop®. The level of carotenoids was determined by spectrophotometric method.Results. Visual assessments of flour and pasta color, presented by different researchers, differ significantly (up to 2–3 points on a 9-point scale). At the same time, the use of the developed method of express color evaluation of flour and pasta samples in Adobe PhotoShop® with the color evaluation system L*a*b*, used in modern reflectometers, allows to obtain data in numerical value and provides high accuracy. In the case of the developed me­thod, correlations were established between the content of carotenoids and the index b* of flour (r = 0.41 / ≤ 0.05) and pasta (r = 0.60 / p ≤ 0.001) and allowed to select the best in flour color selection lines 10-56, 10-65, 14-153, sample T. durum var. falcatomelanopus, in pasta color – lines 10-56, 10-65, 11-29, 12-3.Conclusions. The developed method provides high accuracy and can be used to evaluate the color of pasta and wheat flour, simplifies the evaluation of test samples, standardizes the parameters of agricultural products and avoids subjective judgment. The established weak correlation between the carotenoid content and the b* value of flour indicates the effect on the color of flour not only orange but also yellow and red pigments, and the ave­rage correlation between the carotenoid content and the b* value of pasta indicates the influence of the products of polyphenols oxidation reactions of wheat grain. The best in color flour and pasta lines were selected for breeding work to increase the content of carotenoid pigments in grain. | Мета. Розробити спрощений метод оцінювання кольору борошна та макаронів за допомогою програмного забезпечення Adobe Photo Shop®.Методи. Матеріалом для досліджень слугувало зерно сортів та селекційних ліній видів пшениці Triticum durum, T. dicoccum, T. timopheevii селекції Інституту рослинництва ім. В. Я. Юр’єва та зразки Національного центру генетичних ресурсів рослин України врожаю 2018–2020 рр. Наважки борошна та шматочки тіста сканували за допомогою EPSON Scanner 010 F. Колір оцінювали з використанням програми Adobe PhotoShop®. Рівень каротиноїдів визначали спектрофотометричним методом.Результати. Візуальні оцінки кольору борошна та макаронів, виставлені різними дослідниками, істотно різняться (до 2–3 балів за 9-баловою шкалою). Водночас використання розробленого способу експрес-оцінки кольору зразків борошна й макаронів у програмі Adobe PhotoShop® із системою оцінювання кольору L*a*b*, що застосовується в сучасних рефлектометрах, дає змогу отримувати дані у вигляді числового значення й забезпечує високу точність. У разі застосування розробленого способу, установлено кореляційні зв’язки між умістом каротиноїдів та показником b* борошна (r = 0,41 / ≤ 0,05) і макаронів (r = 0,60 / р ≤ 0,001) і дало змогу виділити кращі за кольором борошна селекційні лінії 10-56, 10-65, 14-153, зразок T. durum var. falcatomelanopus, за кольором макаронів – лінії 10-56, 10-65, 11-29, 12-3.Висновки. Розроблений спосіб забезпечує високу точність та може використовуватись для оцінювання кольору макаронів і борошна пшениці, дає змогу спрос­тити оцінку досліджуваних зразків, стандартизувати параметри сільськогосподарської продукції та уникнути суб’єктивного судження. Установлений слабкий кореляційний зв’язок між умістом каротиноїдів та показником b* борошна свідчить про вплив на колір борошна не тільки помаранчевих, а й жовтих та червоних пігментів, а середній кореляційний зв’язок між умістом каротиноїдів та показником b* макаронів вказує на вплив продуктів реакцій окислення поліфенолів зерна пшениці. Виділено кращі за кольором борошна та макаронів лінії для селекційної роботи щодо підвищення вмісту каротиноїдних пігментів у зерні.

The research material was grain of varieties and selection lines of wheat species Triticum durum, T. dicoccum, T. timopheevii bred in the Рlant Production Institute nd. a. V. Ya. Yuryev and samples of the National Center for Genetic Resources of Plants of Ukraine, 2018–2020 harvest. Batch of flour and pieces of dough were scanned using EPSON Scanner 010 F. Color was evaluated using Adobe PhotoShop®. The level of carotenoids was determined by spectrophotometric method. Results. Visual assessments of flour and pasta color, presented by different researchers, differ significantly (up to 2–3 points on a 9-point scale). At the same time, the use of the developed method of express color evaluation of flour and pasta samples in Adobe PhotoShop® with the color evaluation system L*a*b*, used in modern reflectometers, allows to obtain data in numerical value and provides high accuracy. In the case of the developed me­thod, correlations were established between the content of carotenoids and the index b* of flour (r = 0.41 / ≤ 0.05) and pasta (r = 0.60 / p ≤ 0.001) and allowed to select the best in flour color selection lines 10-56, 10-65, 14-153, sample T. durum var. falcatomelanopus, in pasta color – lines 10-56, 10-65, 11-29, 12-3. Conclusions. The developed method provides high accuracy and can be used to evaluate the color of pasta and wheat flour, simplifies the evaluation of test samples, standardizes the parameters of agricultural products and avoids subjective judgment. The established weak correlation between the carotenoid content and the b* value of flour indicates the effect on the color of flour not only orange but also yellow and red pigments, and the ave­rage correlation between the carotenoid content and the b* value of pasta indicates the influence of the products of polyphenols oxidation reactions of wheat grain. The best in color flour and pasta lines were selected for breeding work to increase the content of carotenoid pigments in grain.

Over the years of research, the average yield of sunflower hybrids in the Left-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine varied from 2.71 to 4.04 t/ha. The lowest yield was shown by the ‘Ukrainskyi F1’ hybrid – 2.42–3.05 t/ha, the highest ‘Laskala’ – 3.79–4.26 t/ha. It was determined that in the conditions of the Left-Bank Forest-Steppe, there is no absolute predominance of medium-ripe hybrids in terms of yield.Conclusions. According to the results of the analysis of yield plasticity of sunflower hybrids, it was determined that the group of samples with high yield plasticity includes ‘Ukrainskyi F1’, ‘P64F50’, ‘P64F66’, ‘NK Konti’, ‘NK Brio’, ‘P64LE99’, ‘Lascala’ and ‘Kupava’. They respond to the improvement of the level of agricultural technology and provide the maximum yield only under the conditions of optimal factors. Hybrids ‘P64LL125’, ‘P63LE10’ and ‘P63LL06’ are more stable in response to changes in growing conditions without reductions in yield. As for the shares of the influence of the studied factors, the yield of the hybrid ‘Ukrainskyi F1’ was most influenced by the conditions of the year, ‘NK Brio’ – the sowing rate. For the ‘NK Ferti’ hybrid, the conditions of the year and the sowing rate are equally important. | Мета. Визначити рівень продуктивності гібридів соняшнику, їхньої стабільності та пластичності за вирощування в Лівобережному Лісостепу України.Методи. Польовий дослід виконано в умовах Лівобережного Лісостепу України у 2016–2018 рр. Досліджували особливості росту й розвитку рослин, формування врожайності гібридів ‘Український F1’ (к), ‘Р64LL125’, ‘P63LE10’, ‘P64F50’, ‘P64F66’, ‘Р63LL06’, ‘НК Конти’ (к), ‘НК Бріо’, ‘P64LE99’, ‘Ласкала’, ‘Купава’. Пластичність формування врожайності розраховували та аналізували за методикою Ебергарда–Рассела.Результати. За роки досліджень середня врожайність гібридів соняшнику в Лівобережному Лісостепу України змінювалася в межах від 2,71 до 4,04 т/га. Найнижчу врожайність формував гібрид ‘Український F1’ – 2,42–3,05 т/га, найвищу ‘Ласкала’ – 3,79–4,26 т/га. Визначено, що в умовах Лівобережного Лісостепу відсутнє абсолютне переважання за врожайністю середньостиглих гібридів.Висновки. За результатами аналізу пластичності врожайності гібридів соняшнику визначено, що до групи зразків, що мають високу пластичність за врожайністю належать ‘Український F1’, ‘P64F50’, ‘P64F66’, ‘НК Конти’, ‘НК Бріо’, ‘P64LE99’, ‘Ласкала’ та ‘Купава’. Вони реагують на поліпшення рівня агротехніки й лише за умов оптимальності чинників забезпечують максимальний урожай. Гібриди ‘Р64LL125’, ‘P63LE10’ та ‘Р63LL06’ більш стабільно реагують на зміну умов вирощування і при цьому не знижують урожайність. Щодо часток впливу досліджуваних чинників, то на врожайність гібрида ‘Український F1’ найбільше впливали умови року, ‘НК Бріо’ – норма висіву насіння. Для гібрида ‘НК Ферті’ умови року та норма висіву мають однаково важливе значення.

Methods. Identification of the Pina-D1 and Pinb-D1 genes allelic state was performed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using allele-specific primer pairs. Confectionery properties of flour were evaluated by determining the quality indicators: the water absorption capacity (WAC) of the flour, trial baking of cookies and evaluation of its quality. Results. According to the results of PCR analysis, 9 samples had an allelic composition of puroindoline genes (Pina-D1a and Pinb-D1a) characteristic for soft-grained varieties. Flour of the lines 'L137-26-0-2', 'L137-26-0-3' had the best confectionery properties, it had a WAC value less than 55%, cookies diameter 85 mm, cookies height 10 mm, estimation of a surface of cookies 7– 9 points, what meets the requirements for soft-grained wheat. 76% of the samples belonged to hard-grained varieties and had the corresponding alleles of the Pina-D1 or Pinb-D1 genes. In the studied sample, Pina-D1 gene is represented by 2 alleles: Pina-D1a and Pina-D1b. 27 samples had Pina-D1a allele, which also allows them to be used in breeding programs for grain quality when crossed with soft samples, 4 ones had Pina-D1b allele. As to Pinb-D1 gene, all hard grain samples had Pinb-D1b allele, and the 'Erythrospermum S 424-1 / 14' line was heterogeneous for Pinb-D1a / Pinb-D1b. The flour of these samples had typical for hard wheat quality indicators: WAC 68% and more, cookie diameter of 60–72 mm, cookie height of 13–15 mm, the surface evaluation of 1–4 points.Conclusions. The studies allowed to differentiate the breeding material  and transfer a soft winter wheat cultivar of a confectionery use 'L137-26-0-3' ('Mazurok') which has an allelic structure of puroindolins genes (Pina-D1a and Pinb-D1a) characteristic for soft-grained varieties and high confectionery flour properties for qualification examination. | Цель. Идентифицировать аллельное состояние генов Pina-D1 и Pinb-D1 сортов и линий пшеницы мягкой озимой селекции Института растениеводства им. В. Я. Юрьева НААН для целевого использования в селекции на высокие кондитерские показатели муки. Методы. Аллельное состояние генов Pina-D1 и Pinb-D1 идентифицировали методом полимеразной цепной реакции (ПЦР) с использованием аллель-специфических пар праймеров. Кондитерские свойства муки оценивали, определив показатели качества: водопоглотительную способность муки (ВПС), пробную выпечку печенья и оценку его качества. Результаты. По результатам ПЦР-анализа 9 образцов имели аллельное состояние генов пуроиндолинов, характерное для мягкозёрных сортов – Pina-D1a и Pinb-D1а. Лучшей по кондитерским свойствам была мука линий пшеницы ‘L137-26-0-2’, ‘L137-26-0-3’, она имела показатель ВПС меньше 55%, диаметр печенья 85 мм, высоту – 10 мм, оценка поверхности печенья составляла 7–9 балов, что соответствовало требованиям к мягкозёрным пшеницам. 76% изученных образцов относились к твёрдозёрным сортам и имели соответствующие аллели генов Pina-D1 или Pinb-D1. В опытной выборке образцов ген Pina был представлен 2 аллелями: Pina D1а и Pina D1b. 27 образцов имели аллель Pina D1а, это также позволило использовать их в селекции на качество зерна при скрещивании с сортами типа soft, 4 – аллель Pina D1b. По гену Pinb все твёрдозёрные образцы имели аллель Pinb D1b, а линия ‘Эритроспермум S 424-1/14’ была гетерогенной Pinb D1а/Pinb D1b. Эти образцы имели соответствующие твёрдозёрным пшеницам показатели качества муки: ВПС 68% и выше, диаметр печенья 60–72 мм, высота – 13–15 мм, оценка поверхности – 1–4 балла. Выводы. Проведенные исследования позволили эффективно дифференцировать селекционный материал и передать на квалификационную экспертизу сорт пшеницы мягкой озимой кондитерского направления использования ‘L137-26-0-3’ (‘Мазурок’), который имеет аллельный состав генов пуроиндолинов (Pina-D1a и Pinb-D1а), характерный для мягкозёрных сортов, и высокие кондитерские свойства муки. | Мета. В. Я. Юр’єва НААН для цільового використання в селекції на високі кондитерські показники борошна.Методи. У дослідженій вибірці ген Pina-D1 був представлений 2 алелями: Pina-D1а та Pina-D1b. 27 зразків мали алель Pina-D1а, що також дозволило використовувати їх в селекційних програмах на якість зерна при схрещуванні зі зразками типу soft, 4 – алель Pina-D1b.
