Presence of species of the families:Poduridae, Onychiuridae and Isotomidae in the meadows and pastures of the acid soils in the mountains of Vlasic, Vranica, Bjelasnica, Igman, Jahorina, Maglic, Zelengora and Lebrsnik of the Dinaric massif in SR Bosnia and Herzegovina (Yugoslavia) was investigated. 37 localities in 9 different coenoses were investigated. In the whole investigated area presence of only 50 varieties was found. These were mainly the living species spread in Europe and even farther, while the presence of northern European and central European mountain species was much rarer. A definite number of species with european, in the broader sense, spreading area was found. The species are: Hypogastrura socialis, H. sigillata, Tullbergia affinis, Istoma viridis, I. violacea, I. notabilis. These species are equally frequent and numerous in meadows and pastures. The presence of the Dinaric endemic species is rare (5 species). These are the species with wider area in the Dinarides. The number of species decreases with the altitude, this being the case here too, although there are exceptions to this, resulting from the effects of other factors. One of the factors of the distribution frequency and numerousness of Poduridae, Onychiuridae and Isotomidae fauna is the ground and soil in which these terrestrial organisms live.
