Repeated fed batch culture as a possibility for high yield tetracycline fermentations [Streptomyces erythreus]
1984
Bosnjak, M. (Pliva, Zagreb (Yugoslavia). RO Pliva-Istrazivacki institut)
It was analysed the repeated batch culture in order to estimate its reliableness to tetracycline antibiotic production. The experimental results of biosynthesis oxytetracycline process were used as the bases for computer simulation. It was used the mathematical model developed by the author. The different cases that could appear, especially in relation to temperature influence were investigated. In order to explain better the possible advantages of repeated fed batch culture there were analysed some informations related to erythromycin biosinthesis. Informations gotten after the experiment were well agreed with informations from computer simulation and referred to application of repeated fed batch culture of antibiotics in half industrial and industrial production.
