Forced production of some sorts of melon [Cucumis melo L.] with polyethylenic foil

It has been established that by using polyethylenic foils, melon sowing can be carried out without any risk from 25th March i.e., by 25 to 30 days earlier than in the open area. According to the yield the most fruitful is the Israeli variety. The highest coefficient of early ripeness, out of all investigated varieties, has the Persian variety (74.4%).
