Effect of compounds for alkaline soils on curing Fe chlorosis and on the growth of potted pears grown in soil culture

Compounds applied to alkaline soil-sulphur and gypsum, without the addition of NPK fertilizer, did not have a significant effect on pear growth, nutritional status of the pear tree nor leaf colour. The addition of reduced quantities of NPK fertilizer had a more favourable effect on tree growth, green leaf colour and nutritional status of the entire tree. The addition of sulphuric acid to the mentioned compounds did not have any effect on the tested qualities.
