Immunochemical determination of lectin in some soybean products

The level of lectin (SBA) in various soybean products has been determined. On the basis of a standard ELISA test, it was possible to develop an immunochemical system for the detection and determination of SBA based on biospecific interaction between lectin and glycoproteins. In that way, not only the presence of lectin as an antigen but the prominent lectin activity could be determined.
