An essay on the Agricultural Credit Corporation (ACC) and its role in the agricultural development of Jordan

Short history of the establishment and organization of The ACC, in chronological order, are presented. ACC terms of lending for extending loans to all individual farmers, big and small groups of farmers, and agricultural societies all over the country are discussed as Seasonal loans, Short-term loans, Medium-term loans, and Long-term loans concepts and conditions are individually explained. Furthermore, ACC's loan activities and their role in financing the agricultural development of Jordan are specified in addition to another positive ACC activities such as accepting and investing certain public deposits (the deposit of the Agricultural Development Fund of the Ministry of Agriculture, or the deposits of split interest of loans issued by another states to Jordanian governmental institutions); sharing in the capital stock of some share-holder-public agricultural companies concerning the development of the agricultural sector in Jordan and management, financing, and supervising the delivery process of the sprinkler equipments to the farmers of the Jordan Valley. The essay also offers information on the total loans offered by ACC during the period 1960-1991 and distributed according to the purposes of loans and periods of economic development, as well as "ACC expected loans for different purposes during the next five years: 1992-1996"
