The jute hairy caterpillar, Spilosoma (=Diacrisia) obliqua (Walker) is an important pest of jute. A lot of information is available on this pest on various aspects. A bibliography was first published in 1979 and was updated in three more supplements in 1982, 1985 and 1990. This is the fourth updated supplement covering literature upto 1991. The bibliography covers topic on damage and losses, food plants, insecticidal control, rearing, life history and biology, morphology and histology, natural enemies, non-insecticidal control, physiology and ecology.
