Paecilomyces lilacinus and a mutant isolate of Trichoderma spp. were used for the biocontrol of the root knot-wilt disease complex of tomato caused by Meloidogyne javanica and Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici respectively. Treated plants with the combination of either Trichoderma-vydate or Trichoderma-nemacur, significantly (P=0.05) decreased disease and root-gall index and improved plant height and shoot dry weight. These efficient treatments were followed by other teatments, combined inoculation of P. lilacinus-Trichoderma or Benlate-Trichoderma. Other treatments were deleterious for plants, inoculation with either M. javanica of F. oxysporum or inoculation of plants with both pathogens, caused 100% plant death within one month after inoculation. Two nematicides, vydate and nemacur and one fungicides, benlate didn't show any inhibitory effect on the growth and activity of Trichoderma
