[The pathogens of goat mastitis]

Some goat milk samples were analyzed for mastitis. 40 milk samples were collected from lactating goats to determine mastitis pathogens. The CMT was done on 20 goats to determine the approximate somatic cell count. Intramammary infections were diagnosed in 17,5 of the goats. Staphylococcus aureus appeared in 12,5 milk samples. Environmental mastitis pathogens (Escherichia coli) were isolated from 5 of the milk samples tested.
