Investigations on anatomical and histological development of the chip-budding tongue, whip and cleft grafting in persimmon (Diospyros kaki L.)

This research is conducted to investigate the anatomical and histological developments on four different grafting which were chip budding, tongue, whip and cleft grafting of persimmon. The graft formation and development was observed at the cross and longitudinal graft sections at 14, 21, 30, 45, 60 and 90 days after first grafting by microscope. The union and development of the grafting in persimmon was similar to the other fruit species. Whip grafting technique was formed earlier than other graft techniques from point of view graft union
